You or your children have any disabilities or health conditions then other countries like Canada, Australia, and New Zealand aren’t taking you. You are over 40, good luck. You don’t have a parent or grandparent from the EU, or 5 million dollars or a highly skilled job? Not likely.

This. Additionally, does no one follow international news? Many countries are currently dealing with an alt right problem.

Yes, but are any first world western countries as bad off as the US?

How bad off is your daily life? Be honest.

I dont know about anything else but the USA has become really really expensive and honestly- the services just dent operate well. it's not a proper peaceful, functioning society. I am away for work a lot and it feels more like a developing country in terms of how easy it is to live. the UAE and EU are very high functioning in comparison and I'm a brown person so its not like I dont feel the racism in the ME. the US is going through some ish right now and it just feels very like--- why??- like when teenagers start blubbering and shouting about how life isn't fair and everyone else is like what the heck is going on with this kid?? there was no fundamental reason to become so unstable at such a quick pace ..

Nice, why yes I do. Grandfather born there

Sayonara. Renounce your citizenship, and enjoy your new quality of life somewhere else.

Meanwhile, speak with the many immigrants already here about how eager they are to trade life in the U.S. for life anywhere else. Not just low-skilled immigrants from the 3rd World, but also the highly skilled and educated immigrants in executive roles, many of whom have lived in various global locations as part of their career progressions. I suspect you'll find, as I have, that they laugh at the notion that live elsewhere is better by any rational metrics.

Until they get stripped of status and denaturalized because Trump decides they’re the scapegoat ethnicity of the month.

You have some data or information to back this up? It sounds like some kind of maga fantasy.

I do not understand the purpose of these threads. It's not that easy to immigrate elsewhere. If I were interested in doing so I have no idea how I'd go about it: I'm a citizen, married to a citizen, and both of our families have lived here for 100+ years. The only route I can think is my husband's job could potentially be in demand somewhere (he works in construction).

+1. Health care, transportation, customer service - these work better in virtually every other country I've lived in or traveled to (including some fairly underdeveloped places).

It's awful, isn't it? Lawfare stopped dead in its tracks, people crimin being called to account, DEI reverse racism being canceled, the hate America first crowd on the run. So awful.

Why would anyone renounce? The expiration date on this $hit$how is rapidly approaching.

The cost of living crisis is worse in many Western European countries. It’s particularly bad in the UK. How much have you been paying attention?

Just talk to any immigrant, legal or otherwise, about how eager they are to return to their home country, or to leave the U.S. for a 3rd country. I have, and have yet to encounter anyone who believes the grass is greener elsewhere. They know; U.S. libs fantasize without personal experience.

It's not just the cost of living, it's quality of life. Poor services, tiny homes, heavy taxes, "free" medical care which is used only by those without the means to pay for private care, etc. People from many countries returning home for visits travel with suitcases filled with goods from Costco for their families, because so many things we have easy access to are unavailable or wildly expensive in their home countries. Some other countries do some things well, but most things not as well as we do them here. And, as always, your quality of life depends on where you choose to live within a country, and on your income. Poor people everywhere have a tough time.

Are you under the impression that each thread is crafted specifically with you in mind? Because I don't understand your confusion. People are discussing leaving the country, when and why, as well as how. If none of that is relevant to you, you are free to continue scrolling.
