Why are younger women so left wing?

Parents of boys want them exposed to a viable pool of potential mates, and conservative girls are far more likely to be interested in marriage and children. The percentage of out of state students at, for example, Ole Miss and Bama, is double or more that of UVA and University of Maryland. I've noticed in particular that young men from the NY/NJ area (notoriously difficult dating grounds) seem to be swarming the southern campuses.

It's kind of a sad thing, the mismatch with boys wanting marriage and family and the girls not wanting marriage and family. Girls can have whatever political leanings they want, but it's understandable and human that boys still want marriage and therefore lean conservative.

I kinda find this hilarious considering twenty years ago in my 20s was all about women wanting marriage and guys just wanting to be "players" and play the field. But the attitude was that "boys will be boys" and now that the attitude has flipped, we have to condemn women?

Maybe girls just want to be girls.

+1 I specifically remember men used to whine about women pressuring them for marriage and babies and the “old ball and chain” jokes. Now it’s a problem?

Rather than vice versa.

Are they rejecting it or are men rejecting them?

And the rise of toxic right wing misogyny - the Tate brothers and others in the right wing "red pill manosphere." The sleazy, creepy, manipulative "PUA" culture and dirtbag "alpha male" influencers. They are poisoning young men against women, teaching that women are inferior, and that women are just objects to be used, abused and dominated. Women recoil from that and want nothing to do with it. Women can see that they are under assault from the right wing.

+1. This is not hard.

DP. I don't think men are the ones mostly rejecting now. The days of the noncommital playboy are over.

What is being reported is young men want to be married and young women don't, a flip vs 20 years ago.

Nah. It’s just male fragility.

Yes, the fears that women would "trap" them into marriage! Wow how tables have turned.

You are coming to all the wrong conclusions.

The reason the OOS rates are high at Alabama is because Alabama is throwing tons of money at them to attend. They want them to stay in Alabama afterwards. It’s not because all the northern men magically discovered Alabama.

In the flip side, UGA and UT significantly restrict OOS kids. UGA only has 20% OOS and UT only 10%. Same with UNC. The idea is that in state kids with perhaps lesser stats should still get slots over OOS kids because the schools exist first and foremost for in state kids.

BTW, many of these southern flagships are around 60% women and 40% men…and the student body is quite liberal. Athens, Ga was 70% for Harris, Austin was majority for Harris, etc.

They also aren’t swarming southern campuses…they are just growing from a very small base. As an example, the percent of kids from the northeast to LSU quadrupled but it’s still only 2% of the LSU senior body.

This article is a year old, but the findings still hold true.

https://news.gallup.com/poll/649826/exploring-young-women-leftward-expansion.aspx

Some interesting highlights:
-From 2001-2007, an average of 28% of women aged 18-29 identified as liberal, three percentage points higher than young men.
-From 2008-2016, an average of 32% of young women identified as liberal, five points higher than for young men.
-From 2017-2024, an average of 40% of young women identified as liberal, 15 points higher than for young men.
-Young Women have become more liberal regardless of college status

Because they are not stupid!

Project 2025 "men head of household" "women to lose all rights ie voting...etc"

Listen when they speak and for god's sake they wrote it down. Young women read!

Women are a gift to our world. Men are garbage while providing their lone benefit to humanity in sperm. Generally speaking of course.

Different times... And we are wondering why women went left??

""I'm a legs and butt man," says Andrew, a 23-year-old stockbroker. He explains, "My first thought when I see a woman is, 'Do I want to have sex with her?' That cuts out 70 percent right away. At this stage of my life I'm not particularly looking for anything long-lasting." That's probably because most male twenty-somethings have one burning desire: to build a successful career. In terms of women, well, the more the merrier. Men in their twenties want a pretty woman, an ornament on their arm to show their boss and the world: "Hey, I must be really cool to attract such a hot babe."

There's a hope at the end of this semi-shallow tunnel of youth: As men in their twenties age, they begin learning from experience. "You get knocked around a few times by women with big knockers and you realize a pretty face isn't everything," says 27-year-old Peter, a marketing consultant. "But I'm still initially attracted to someone's looks. So any busty blondes reading this can contact me through the Website. But I also want a woman who's sensitive because, hey, I got feelings."

I'm going to need evidence that more young women are "far left" as well as your definition of far left.

Humans, both male and female, in their teens and twenties have thought this way since the beginning of humanity. Seeking out those who are most attractive is nothing new and it has nothing to do with politics.
