Thanks to the herd immunity of other vaccinated kids…They are healthy for now. Give it a few years, when the number of terrible parents like you increase ps exponentially due to Trump, and kids start getting sick from disease that had been eradicated. |
Not surprising that both careers are known for being morally suspect ( and obviously no scientific training)- i pray your kids continue to be lucky and surrounded by highly vaccinated communities to protect them since you won't |
| I am from a country where there are many people here from the previous generation that have lifelong disability due to polio...in just one generation, there is no more suffering due to this particular virus..denying protection to your children, while you yourself have been vaccinated is completely irresponsibe...you may cause immense suffering to your children. |
Will you get them HPV when they are older? |
What's the issue with Hib? Interesting to give PCV to infants but not Hib. I've seen parents skip both because they think the risk of meningitis in infants is low, but I'm not sure I've ever seen someone skip just Hib. Also don't get the recent backlash surrounding Hep B. It's so easy to contract if exposed (like an accidental needle stick from an HIV positive person, for example, has vanishingly low risk of actually giving me HIV, but from a Hep B positive person its like 30%, which is incredibly high. Which is why health care workers need to show positive hep B titers - it's so easy to accidentally give it to a patient in the health care setting. Or get it!) |
Natural parenting, what the stupid? I’m not sure anyone mentioned this but pregnant women are at risk and so is the fetus if she contacts MMR. My friend’s mother from Germany got infected with Rubella. Her child was born blind. Rubella (German measles) can cause, miscarriage, stillbirth, and severe, lifelong birth defects in the baby, known as Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS), which includes deafness, heart defects, cataracts, and intellectual disability. |
You’re not necessarily highly educated. Your husband was trained in a particular field and you learned about investing money. What makes you think your backgrounds allow you to make better decisions than your doctors? |
We are losing our status along with Mexico in 2026 unless something drastically changes. Canada lost their status thanks to religious nuts . Mennonite communities in both Ontario and Alberta provinces have the most measles cases in Canada. They are exempt to mandatory vaccines. No more religious exemptions! What a bunch of crap. Religion is a way out to take advantage of herd immunity which is slowly going away. On the other side of the world Sri Lanka has eliminated measles. |
No. |
We did give PCV & Hib to our older daughter but not our younger one. |
We don’t need medical background to make decisions on whether or not both we or are kids are vaccinated. |
That's a shame. A good friend of mine died in her early 30s of cervical cancer brought on by HPV (the vaccine didn't come out until I was in my mid 20s). If she'd had access to the vaccine she'd still be alive. Even if your kids choose to get it after they turn 18, the majority of girls are sexually active before turning 18, so it would likely be too late to help her. |
You're right, you don't. And you don't need any teaching experience, or even any intelligence or access to books or any general knowledge at all, to homeschool your children. And you don't need to be nice to your children in order to be their mother. You don't need to wash your hands after having explosive diarrhea before you prepare food for people. Some things just are not against the law. |

Not chickenpox vaccine?
I know a family where mom had chickenpox while pregnant. Infant had severe deformities. Older adults really suffer from shingles which is chickenpox round two. I hope the grandparents stay away from your kids. |
Sorry for your loss. Our kids won’t be dating until college, and even then only will be dating to marry, so I don’t think they’ll need the HPV vaccine but if when they’re 18, they choose to get vaccinated, we’ll support their decision. |
