Both are vile.
Vile babies?
Vile names. They’re tacky redneck names.
Those names are okay. I know siblings Colt and Wynne (short for Winchester). They're my cousins kids in Montana. Horrible
Colt is not great but Wynne is okay. I know an adult Wynne and it suits him and he's a great guy.
What would have been awful would have been Colt and Wesson (which is in the top 1000 names in the US, sadly). Though I actually think Wesley/Wes is a good name.
Some other boys names I've heard of recently that I find awful: Maverick, Remington, Blaze, Jagger
Also, I frequent a baby naming subreddit and mostly it's great, but the one question I absolutely loathe seeing posted is "I want to give my daughter a "cool girl" name, please suggest some." The names suggested are mostly perfectly fine, but this impulse of wanting to give your daughter a name that will make her a "cool girl" in life feels super toxic to me. It's like "I want my daughter to be better than other girls, how can I best accomplish that?" It's of a piece with naming your son after a brand of gun or a wildfire or a rock star.
