Arrested 14 times on cashless bail since January? Why even bother? No wonder cops give up. Why would judges continually release him after six or seven times??? He obviously felt no consequences could affect him. |
The bystander effect is real. And considering how someone defending another subway victim in NY was prosecuted for his actions , I would be hesitant to jump in also. |
I disagree with most of what I'm seeing on social media and here.
1) you can't actually tell what happened. 2) Everyone was aware he was dangerous or acting strange. 3) Based on the blood it wasn't clear whether he or she was injured 4) everyone there was in danger and needed to GTFO Lessons: if you are injured make it clear to others that you need assistance/ help Rip your clothing off if needed so people can stop the bleeding I've BTDT on a train with a guy with a knife and people acted really stupid. Also there is no way for any of us to stop him even if it's a group. No one else was armed and if that guy is on PCPs he's stronger than all of us combined. |
Incidents. like this one is why Trump won.
Thanks, Progressives. A beautiful young girl who fled war in her country is viciously attacked and murdered in the country where she sought refuge. And y'all are concerned about the occupy D.C. thing? I guess you'd rather have feral kids or lunatics roaming looking for victims. |
I want to qualify my original question because there is one man in a green shirt who went to help her. Everybody else stood around like nothing had happened, and the ones right next to her just picked up and ignored her. Didn’t even look back at her. It’s just so chilling. |
I was on the metro once, blue line, when some kids started fighting and pushing and an elderly lady tried to move and fell, splitting her shin wide open and blood just everywhere. People reacted immediately and someone pushed the button in the back to call the driver and by the time we arrived at the next station there were cops waiting on the platform and the EMT soon arrived. I will never forget it, was about 10 years ago.
People helped the woman, someone got extra clothes out of a bag and applied pressure to her leg, people moved so she could sit down and hold her leg up and some other people corralled the kids to the back and got them to sit down. It was an accident, although they shouldn't have been pushing and fighting. Thinking back they could have had a weapon but it all happened so fast people just reacted. |
Commonwealth’s attorney Steve Descano (D), in FFX county instituted “cashless bail.” The DC City Council instituted “cashless bail.” Montgomery County pushed through cashless bail. Cashless bail is a major way in which democrats are making our communities LESS SAFE for your children and for you. |
Did anyone even die? I need to see the death certificate. |
+1 |
PP here. I agree. |
Republicans say it for all of the mentally ill, too. They also say, with good reason, that we need to bring back longterm institutional care for the severely mentally ill. |
NG could help ensure the non payers stayed out. |
The man in the tan shirt who is sitting directly behind the attacker never leaves the scene. He watched the guy stab the woman and walk away. Then one by one the other people around walk away (in the direction of the attacker, if he is so dangerous why are they walking towards in the same direction) except for that one guy.
I have read he eventually stands up and over the victim in the aisle. At this point the victim has fallen to the floor. He says nothing, he does nothing, he doesn’t call out to anyone, he doesn’t say anything to her, he doesn’t call 912. He just looks at her. It takes another minute for another person (the man who eventually takes off his shirt to help) to come over. This guy watched it all go down and just watched this woman bleed out. Did nothing, absolutely nothing. He saw it. He was right there the entire time. Plenty of footage to prove it. I am stunned. |
Really? The guy is a paranoid schizophrenic. The ENTIRE system failed. |
