Fatal Stabbing in Charlotte on a train. Iryna Zarutska

Anonymous
Iryna Zarutska was stabbed to death on a train in Charlotte, NC. “Horrid video of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska’s slaughter on Charlotte train is met with deafening silence from Dem leaders, media”, and even these forums! This is why many cities need the National Guard and police to make our cities safe again. I also cannot believe no on the train tried to help her or stop the bleeding. Not one person ran to her aid! Why?

"Deafening silence" LOL, sure.

I don’t blame the others on the train - I’d be sacred out of my mind in this situation.

The more important question is why was this career criminal allowed to walk the streets?

People were likely afraid for their own lives. My friend lost her brother that way. He tried to help someone who was being threatened and ended up getting stabbed to death.

FWIW, I work in an industry where we have to plan and be taught what to do with an active shooter, someone with a weapon, or someone violent (not a teacher). The common advice is always to make sure you keep yourself safe vs helping any victims.

Yeah a crazy person like this? I'm doing whatever I can to keep myself off their radar.

Sorry, not buying it. There were several big men on that train. They could have jumped him so others could have helped her. He didn’t have a gun.

But the poor girl just sat down with a hat on. She didn’t do anything to be ‘put on the radar’ of this criminal.

Exactly which goes to show you how absolutely insane this guy is. So I'm not going to do anything that could draw his attention to me.

This. The incident has been widely reported. The man was arrested quickly and is held pending trial. Other media reports that people rushed to the victim.

It was an awful crime, but your news source is laughably bad.

There was nothing until it went viral on Twitter. Charlotte’s moyor asked news outlets to not show the video.

So they had already arrested this guy, and charged him with murder.

The White House literally went looking through all the murders in America for a suitably pretty white victim and any kind of federal angle so they could slap on another charge and have a press conference.

It’s so craven.

That actually didn’t happen. The people in her section got up and walked away as she collapsed. It took about 1 1/2 minutes before a man from the other side of the train came over and tried to help her.

CNN was very late to report this and only after the groundswell of outrage. And when they did, they put the post very low on their site and called the incident a "cause celebre" for the Republican party. Yesterday, they added more coverage when they realized this is not going away.

Do you expect every murder in the country to be on CNN?
