Think he has a chance?

Trump is an atheist, so he's not going to heaven, even if there were one.

Literally nothing that he has done or said indicates that he’s an atheist.

Of course not. He's playing religious people. I've never met an atheist who didn't (reluctantly) think Trump was one too.

I have never met an atheist who thought he was one.

Nothing he has ever said or done indicates that he's an atheist. You're trolling.

But his words and deeds don’t indicate that he is a Christian either. I can believe he’s agnostic.

His words have indicated that he's a christian. He may not be a "good" christian, but that is how he identifies.

You can believe whatever you want about him, but ZERO things that he has said or done indicate that he's an atheist.

e is
His words indicate he is NOT a Christian. He is CONSTANTLY saying -- and doing -- things that are the complete opposite of the teachings of Christ.

Again, atheist vs bible beater aren’t the only two options.

He’s a POS person who believes in god. No one called him a true Christian or whatever.

What is wrong with you? You are having some kind of internal battle about whether Christianity is the only way to believe in God. That is NOT what the thread is about. It is about Trump pretending to be a Christian and wanting to get into heaven. As a Christian.

or so he says. It's more likely that he's playing to his Christian base

He's gotta be one or the other, and he says that he's religious. (Presbyterian, to be exact) He has his own bible, right? So he must be religious.

Only someone who knows literally nothing about Christianity can call Trump a Christian.

This might come as a surprise to some, but he doesn’t need to be a “Christian” to believe in god.

Are you from another planet? Of course Trump is pretending to be a Christian.

Again, you don’t need to be a good “Christian” to believe in god.

Not trolling. Atheists don't like to think Trump is an atheist because they don't identify with him at all. Some atheists think all atheists are better than religious people because they figured out that there is no God.

I have never met an atheist who thought he was one.

Otherwise, we can be anything. And Trump does not believe in God. Probably never did.

You're basing that on your feelings, not facts.

I really DGAF what he thinks, but he has said on multiple occasions that he is a Christian and/or believes in god/heaven.

Nothing that he has done or said - literally nothing - has indicated that he doesn't believe in a god.

LOL he doesn't know thing one about Christianity. Not thing one. So I'm not sure what God he believes in really.

Ok. Not a requirement for believing in god.

Being familiar with Christianity is not a requirement for believing in God, but it is a requirement for practicing Christianity. He is not a practicing Christian. Putting up Christmas decorations or hosting Easter egg hunts doesn’t make you a practicing Christian. Posing for a photo op with a Bible someone just ran out and bought for you doesn’t make you a practicing Christian. Selling Bibles doesn’t make you a practicing Christian.

Believing in god and Jesus makes him a Christian.

Everything else is optional.

If he doesn't know anything about Jesus then how can he believe in Jesus? It's clear he does not know Christ. It's clear he had not accepted Christ. If he had,he wouldn't do and say the things he does. That would be impossible.

Ask the millions of “Christians” who believe in god but aren’t deeply religious and haven’t “accepted Christ”. Not all believers are fundamentalist extremists.

NO ONE is claiming he’s a Bible beater, just that he believes in god and wants to get into heaven.

Not everyone interprets it that way. It could mean when you're born again as in rise up and go to heaven.

I’m the OP and this thread is about Trump believing there is a heaven and trying to get in. I didn’t say anything about “as a Christian”.

He can believe in god and heaven and not be a model Christian. That isn’t a requirement.

LOL so show me any evidence he's trying to get into heaven any other way than as a Christian. This thread is not worth following anymore if it's just random speculation about what's going on in that turd's head.

It’s about what he has said. He believes in heaven and is hoping to get in. That doesn’t mean he has turned into some kind of fundamentalist extremist.

Not trolling. Atheists don't like to think Trump is an atheist because they don't identify with him at all. Some atheists think all atheists are better than religious people because they figured out that there is no God.

Not trolling. Atheists don't like to think Trump is an atheist because they don't identify with him at all. Some atheists think all atheists are better than religious people because they figured out that there is no God. Sorry, but we're not. We're just smarter in that one regard.

They’re not getting into heaven either.
+1
A fundamentalist Christian is a born again Christian, the only kind of Christian going to heaven.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3)

Not everyone interprets it that way. It could mean when you're born again as in rise up and go to heaven.
You become born again:

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:16)

The Bible is clear. If your faith is not in Jesus, and you see the Bible as untrue, or a bunch of metaphors instead of God’s word, your interpretations are incorrect: you are not born again.

If a denomination’s teaching does not align with the Bible, that is a very strong indicator that denomination has fallen away from the truth.

People who are not born again will attempt to weasel out of what Jesus said:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

Not by your denomination’s teachings (unless squared with scripture), not by Allah, Mary, Buddha, any Hindu god or idol, nor thinking your good deeds will get you into heaven.

You must be born again.
