| Phones are part of the world now, like it or not. You can't shield kids from the reality forever. For the pro pouch parents, please tell me how your kid will learn to self-manage their phone when they will never have the chance to because it's locked in a pouch all day? |
It’s called neurodevelopment. Their prefrontal cortex will develop and provide better decision making and impulse career. Just like we don’t let them carry around flasks of whiskey. |
Please enlighten me. You think through "neurodevelopment" that they will somehow just acquire the skill of self managing their personal devices in college/workforce without any practice at all in high school? Why didn't anytime tell me about the magic of neurodevelopment? Why do we even need to teach kids anything at all if poof! they will just magically develop all the skills they need on their own! So glad you enlightened me now, PP. |
Not PP but not really sure what your problem is. Cell phones make it more difficult for teachers to do their jobs because they have to battle for kids attention and constantly have to interrupt their teaching because they have to tell kids to put their cell phones away. You can work on teaching your kids how to self manage their cell phone usage on your own time. |
