Exactly. Closing school for every GD holiday is one thing. But closing school with less than a month’s notice is not acceptable. |

Do people who celebrate this holiday even want APS to close last minute? I would assume there are parents who will still go to work on those days even if the kids have off. |

I feel so bad for all the kids who are having their activities cancelled. Eid begins at sundown. There is no reason to make this change. Other districts aren’t. |

Even though the decision is likely already made for 6/6, having the school board members hear from a lot of parents will hopefully help soften the ground for getting these holidays off the calendar in future years. So keep emailing!!! |
