Oh no, Bezos ended the Washington Post’s ability to…endorse the Democrat every time an election rolls around. This is an assault on democracy—let’s boycott his other company and move back to the 20th century to show him. |
I bet you're fun to party with |
| I have cut down on shopping quite a bit. For groceries, Costco, Rodman’s and maybe Safeway. |
I know several people who work/worked for Walmart and know a lot now as we use their direct delivery and they are happy with the pay and benefits and hours. You use others as talking points but people rely on these jobs. |
Oh no, I can’t stream sh**ty original content, or have my toddler’s snacks delivered overnight to my door. Whatever will I do?!? It’s like 1999 and I don’t know how to cope! GFY, and take Bezos with you. |
So being educated and aware of business practices of major companies make one boring? I prefer my friends to be educated and aware of the world rather than just drunks who know nothing |
Obviously people rely on these jobs. And I wish Walmart (and others) treated their employees better overall (great that your friends are treated well, but that's not been the case for many stores over the years). Also, I choose target over Walmart simply because the stores are much more organized and cleaner. When I used to venture into Walmart, every one was a disaster, aisles littered with stuff, and staff was not very helpful. Target's around me have always been much nicer stores in general and on a $100 bill you might pay $105 at target vs Walmart, and that's a price I'm wiling to pay for the better service/cleanliness |
People who are content and enjoy life aren't worrying about this nonsense. Education has nothing to do with it. Maybe take up a hobby or reducing screen time will probably help. |
Okay, Daisy Buchanan. If you’re so carefree why are you on this thread arguing about how other people spend or don’t spend their own money? It’s not nonsense, and it works and it’s why you’re trolling here. The bus boycotts are why people with dark skin don’t have to sit in the back of the bus. But you do you, and go live your life and shop wherever you’d like. |
I made the transition from Walmart 25+ years ago. Very happy with life, but I'm capable of using my purchasing powers to spend on businesses that treat their employees better. Sorry you don't include being a nice person/empathy for others as part of your daily life. You can be content and enjoy life and still strive to do what you can to correct the injustices of the world. |
+1000 This is how change happens in this world and has been for decades |
Walmart shareholder lecturing consumers for not being nice because they shop at Wally World lmao |
And we have every right to roll our eyes and slow clap. What's virtuous to you is silliness to others. |
Not a Walmart shareholder by any choices. If my mutual funds hold it, well so be it. But I have never and would never purchase it directly. And in your 401K you typically don't really have a choice of investments. |
Go find your white robe |
