its being laced with anything and everything now even fentanyl. This isn't the 70's pot with hardly any THC.

Repeat after me - THC isn't being laced with FENT.

No one said it was. Pot can and is laced with fentanyl. THC is another component. You sound very ignorant.

WHAT? I'm bringing actual real world knowledge here. THC is "pot" and no dealer is lacing THC with that and it can be purchased legally all over. There's absolutely 0 incentive and you might just kill someone which most people even crazy drug dealers don't want to do. You really need to stop talking about stuff you have 0 clue about.

No kidding. I'm pretty sure that most of these pot marijuana threads are turfed by bot farms where marijuana isn't legal in their countries and they may even believe what they type.

On the other hand, I have close family members in Russia. They just used to fly to Amsterdam to get high for a week at a time. Then fly home to Moscow.

I've had MULTIPLE accomplished, capable doctors either recommend me taking it (for pain or sleep) or have been fine. One said to me they'd rather I take gummies than drink. Some of us take it for relief for certain things and only do it in small doses (5-10 mg) and it's a lifesaver.

It’s illegal federally in this country.

Anyone who pays attention to what?

Have you ever even been to a legal dispensary which by definition is filled with marijuana users?

Does it look like some kind of dystopia to you with psychotic people staggering around the grounds?

Ha, ha. Have you ever been to Venice Beach? It is EXACTLY that ... psychotic people abound and there are more dispensaries there than Starbucks.

I do t think pot from the dispensaries laced with fentanyl. But it’s definitely stronger than the pot of the 70s.

LOL. This is what my professionals told my parents in the 1970's that pot was way less harmful when my brother started using. He died at age 50 from drug use.

I can guarantee you that whatever your brother died from, he didn't die from marijuana.

Sounds like you just have very bad family genes, or your brother graduated to different drugs, but smoking pot won't kill you.

I got told by my PCP years ago when I caught my son with marijuana at 13 that it was a "gateway drug"

What a load of crap. Mostly it's like anyone who needs their consciousness altered will easily also be using THC, but marijuana is not fatal. Nor does it cause psychosis.

You are incorrect. Multiple studies have found that it substantially increases the risk of psychosis and schizophrenia, particularly in young males—one of these articles describes is as like the link between a high cholesterol diet and heat disease. This is just a small sampling—

I have 4 close male family members and 2 close friends ages 60 to 40, they all use THC on regular basis and for a long period of time and they all have mental health issues. They all have sign of paranoia and psychosis. They all claim using THC helps calm their mind, but it is obvious to many around them (starting with spouses) the THC is causing their issues.

Now that THC is legalized, fully funded -reputable studies are pointing out the issues of use with THC.

My nephew became psychotic after heavy marijuana and mushroom use.

Probably professional accounts.

You don’t need to smoke THC. You can eat it.

As for “scromiting” I’ve done that … it’s what happens when too much THC builds up in your system, after being stored in fat calls over time. It happens largely when you ingest concentrates.

It’s mostly just another name for “dry-heaving” and you can’t have any substances, food, alcohol or anything else except for trying to keep yourself hydrated. If you don’t know what’s happening, it’s scary, but it’s NOT going to kill you.

If nothing else it’s basically a forced cleanse of several days, easiest diet you’ve ever been on because you don’t even want to look at food.

No one goes “psychotic” on large doses of marijuana. What really happens is that you are largely incapacitated and can barely get up off the couch. But you process it and come out of it.

There have been no deaths EVER attributed to marijuana use unless you get into a car. Tell me that about any other drug.

Not a single active marijuana user on this whole thread who knows anything about what they’re squawking over

None of anyone’s business what anyone else does with something THAT WON’T KILL THEM

Huh. And it couldn't possibly be that this thread is being astroturfed by growers like this poster and all the dispensaries with a stake in getting people to ignore increasing documentation of problems.

And imagine trying to normalize "scromiting." Please, take a good look at your post and at yourself.

My brother’s schizophrenia was turned on by pot. We didn’t realize how serious it was until he snapped out of it recently and has given up smoking. He still has the mental illness but it’s not as bad. So much potential lost.

Imagine trying to normalize scream vomiting.

I smoked pot a little in college in the early 2000s and I was pro legalization. I thought it was very unfair alcohol was legal but people were getting years in prison for pot.

But the marijuana on the market these days is different and way way higher in thc. [/quote]

You are not an expert, so stop trying to act like you are. Your ignorance of recent research is striking, especially when combined with your confidence in yourself.

He is an addict, which means he will manipulate anyone and anything, including facts, to protect his ability to get high. It is sad.

“I’m so happy our child is marrying a pot head,” said no one ever.

I have a young neighbor who experienced marijuana induced psychosis. It’s taken years for him to come back to a shell of his former self. It’s devastating for his family.
