In the past 48 hours, HHS canceled 62 contract worth $182 million. These contracts were entirely for administrative expenses – none touched any healthcare programs. This included terminating a $168,000 contract for an Anthony Fauci exhibit at the NIH Museum.

If it's statutorily required, it is statutorily required. Cite statutes.

DOGE may think statutes are worthless but others know better.

I think the idea is to get rid of as many statutes as possible... We'll see if this happens and we are all doomed

Well, that’s something they can’t do.

I am so sorry to hear this. My spouse is with ICF (USAID contractor) and we are just waiting to be cut.

I worked at usaid as a software developer contractor and noticed all the work was supporting bullshit , after a year I left. I was like who would continue to fund this worthless stuff

Like what, pray tell? I’m sure that they had a brand new contractor on their very TOP priority projects! Not the stuff that they knew they could fix pretty easily when the arrogant new jackass inevitably f—-s it up…

same as my opinion. Lots of similar work done by USAID contractors and they know it would be the first to cut.

How does decimating the local economy accomplish this? Presumably people will just move elsewhere.

They ARE touching miltary health care - they have a hiring freeze so they don't have staffing for basic things like the radiology department.

This sure sounded scary on February 5th. The sky appeared to be falling.
