You don't have to be smart to be an atheist. You just have to not believe in God. Like Trump. Or think you are God - like Trump seems to.
These days, though, many atheists are smart because they studied and took the time to figure out that there is no God in a society that largely supports the existence of God.
There are no books or articles or any other materials that anyone can “study” and disprove the existence of God. The greatest minds in history cannot prove or disprove God. Science has no tools or resources that can prove or disprove God.
So where are these “smart” atheists suddenly figuring out and from what sources that there is no God?
I find it interesting that atheists are very vocal about any proselytizing that religion does, but feel absolutely empowered to constantly tell everyone on earth their beliefs are wrong and they should give them up and become atheist. Total hypocrites.
It sounds like you're starting to end your religious beliefs. Good.
PS: science hasn't disproved fairies either, but adults don't believe in them.
Atheists don’t want people to have their own religious beliefs. It’s very threatening and uncomfortable for them that people have their own beliefs.
They are intolerant and don’t like people to be religious or spiritual.
They proselytize disbelief while complaining about religious people discussing their beliefs.
Truly hateful and intolerant people are atheists and anti-theists. Communism is a huge proponent of state mandated atheism. History shows us the millions and millions of murders by the state in communist regimes, including mass starvation and execution. These millions of murders were of their own citizens! Not of soldiers of their warring enemies.
They killed their own citizens.
Beware the atheist and anti- theist.
Like all people, some atheists are good and some are bad. There are no books, as far as I know, that discourage belief in fairies, presumably because it's not an issue -- kids just stop believing in them. God is another story.
Frankly, I've never heard an atheist try to convert a religious person. Just expressing one's non-religious views seem like an attempt to convert.
There have been lots of murders, and rapes, etc. by both religious and non-religious bad people in power. People can be terrible to other people. Sometimes they use religion as a reason, sometimes, not.
