And lose all your cheap health benefits?

Sure you would.

Half my neighborhood works from home and they are in the private sector. Lawyers, consultants, contractors. What makes you think it’s only federal employees?

Per the WaPo it depends on the agency. They could have you continue working "for a time". Then you will be placed on administrative leave through Sept. 30.

If they are offering it, it’s because it is not a good deal for employees.

If you have a CBA, I think it will be hard for Trump to order you back to work.

Yeah tech companies like Amazon that overhired and are too stingy to pay severance so try to get people to quit. U think Trump genius thought of this on his own?

The only company I’ve heard of that has called people back in 5x a week is Amazon. What are the others?

What about collective bargaining agreements with unions, can this type of thing really be enforceable if it’s not in a CBA? I’d be really skeptical…

But there’s no longer a quorum since the NLRB is down to two people. They are very strategic. Total dismantle of government, piece by piece.

Too Funny!

So where do you Feds get jobs after 9/30/2025? Contractors? Prob not as contracts will go away or shrink? Private sector in a potential recession?

The NLRB deals with private sector unions, so they would have nothing to do with this.

How does this “deal” affect pension rights?

I’d be very suspicious. It’s easy to lose rights to the benefits that Feds earn if you don’t retire “correctly”.
