If people want to drive like a Third World country, they are welcome to go back home to their home country where that is legal and do that. It is an epidemic on H St and K Street in NW, and it's very dangerous.

E-bikes are literally battery powered mopeds. Wait until they find out that there are no traffic laws for e-bikes.

You don't know what a moped is. A moped is a "motorized bicycle". In fact that section used to be entitled "moped" which is a portmanteau of motor and peddle.

These folks are getting their mopeds impounded. I have also been cut off by them and it’s fking sketchy. So yea, they are sketchy drivers wearing bike helmets and basically zooming around without much care. But you can continue to spread bullsht in the name of altruism.

Having little pedals that theoretically could be used doesn’t negate that a motorized bicycle going 23 mph is legally a motorized cycle (aka, a “moped”) per DC law

I was at a four way stop a recent morning. It was rush hour and there were cars waiting to go in each direction. It was one person's turn to go, when suddenly a bicyclist *with a child on back* went around the line of cars in his lane and plowed through the intersection at full speed. The driver whose turn it was to go (in the perpendicular lane) had to slam on its brakes to avoid killing them. If he hadn't, they would have been dead. The driver was very angry and laid on the horn. Guess what? The bicyclist was *offended* at being honked at. It was unbelievable. It's amazing there aren't more cyclists killed in this city. They do some really dumb and dangerous stuff.
