It's good to be The King |
I acknowledge that. But you know who pays for my house? Me. Not taxpayers; me. |
NP. Children whose parents are unfaithful are twice as likely to be unfaithful themselves. https://www.talkspace.com/blog/infidelity-cheating-impact-kids/#:~:text=Some%20unsettling%20research%20published%20in,keep%20this%20statistic%20in%20context. |
+1 to this. Things in the monarchy would have remained more formal. William might not have been allowed to date or marry Kate. |
He is also bringing in more money by to the country by his role than you ever would. |
He also employs lots of people and is very good for tourism. You give nothing. |
You saying you acknowledge your hypocrisy doesn’t give you a pass. |
Not really. People want to see the ancient, historic artifacts and more modern sites that he had zero to do with. He didn’t build the Tower. He didn’t build Big Ben, or Hever Castle, or the Heath. He didn’t build Hampton Court. |
And where do YOU live? |
I don’t. Diana married the top aristo and was miserable. After she divorced, she fell in love with Hasnat Khan, who was a doctor, not an aristo. By all accounts, her childhood left her craving a stable family. I think she would have seen Kate and her family as a good thing for William and would have approved of the match. I think she and Meghan would have clashed. Diana would not have liked someone like Meghan to attempt to outshine her. Then again, had Diana survived, I don’t think Harry ever would have met or married Meghan. |
His country is in a recession. Maybe they should try another strategy instead of relying heavily on tourism when the rest of the world is increasingly disinterested? I love the drama going on right now, but have no desire to stand outside buckingham palace. |
Why not Kate? |
Really disagree regarding Meghan, who was just the kind of person Diana was drawn to in real life. I also don't think Meghan would try to outshine Diana-- I think she'd be awestruck and want to bask in her glow. Meghan has not tried to "outshine" the other royals either-- she's just a more dynamic person that they are because they are all boring AF and it makes her stick out. Meghan would not stick out with Diana, she'd fit in. Especially a 2010s/2020s Diana who would have been doing her own thing for 30 years post divorce. |
So no one visits the royal sites. No one purchases royal related items. That has never happened and never will. |
No one cares if you have no desire to stand outside buckingham palace but plenty others do. You think everyone does what you do? |
