Hogan leading in the polls, or is it all just vibes and name recognition?
And yet the same polls say people favor Democrats holding the Senate by double digits. I don't get this cognitive dissonance. I ask again, if you are a DEMOCRAT who would vote for Hogan, for SENATE, why? Why do you like Hogan so much you would give Ted Cruz and co, control over the Senate? And Trone is as moderate as they come. Explain your reasoning? |
Hogan leading and lib heads exploding. |
At this point the polls are all about name recognition. |
I am a Democrat and I will be voting for Hogan. I think he is the best choice for Maryland.. I’m also voting for Biden, and I think he is the stronger candidate. Before Hogan was in the race I was all in for Trone. |
And giving Republicans control doesn't bother you? |
And I am Marie of Roumania. |
I'd prefer Hogan over Trone too, but I'm not giving Republicans control of the Senate. They put huge pressure on new senators and congresspeople within their own parties. Dems do it too. Hogan will have no choice but to fall in line with Republican leadership. If Hogan wants his earmarks for Maryland, he has to tow the party line. |
Same here, except I'm an independent. As for "giving" Republicans control fo the Senate, that's not MD's fault. There are 20+ senate races this fall. Each one of those states makes a difference. It's not all on Maryland. |
Exactly. Including Maryland. |
Trone will win. Alsobrooks just doesn't have the money to win, though she is amazing.
Once it's all said and done people are going to vote for Trone. |
I’ll vote for Trone. I did vote for Hogan as governor, but I think that was more because there was never a serious candidate to run against him. |
I'm voting for the best candidate for MD, which I think is Hogan. I hope voters in other states choose the best candidate for their state also. How that affects control of the senate is not my concern. I vote for people not party. |

Why do you think Hogan is a better candidate than Trone? |
