You should get out more. People are absolutely sick of what is going on with the border and their cities being overrun by homeless people and crime. And everyone knows someone who’s had to bury a child or friend who’s OD’d on fentanyl. Trump is so much better on these issues than Biden.

Trump is worse on all those issues.

Nope.

Nope.

Trump is worse on everything.

The list includes:
1) Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.),
2) Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy,
3) Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).
4) Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.),
5) South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R), and
6) Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who served in Congress as a Democrat but has since shifted to more conservative views and now is an independen.

Many people are saying Tim Scott is a possible front runner

If she text Tulsi Gabbard would she have to technically register as a Republican?

And has very little experience. She’s perfect for him.

I think we’ve learned since January 2021 that basically anybody can do this job.

It has always been that way. It did not start in 2021. Your job as VP is to just be available if the president dies or for the few hours they’re getting a colonoscopy. It’s a thankless job and they’re always made fun of - no matter who they are. They are pretty universally mocked.

I've known this since January 2017.

Why?

Because according to the 12th Amendment, the President and Vice President cannot both be residents of the same state. This amendment stipulates that electors must cast distinct votes for President and Vice President, and they cannot choose both candidates from their own state. So they would have to forgo Florida’s electoral votes that Trump would presumably win.

I think if Trump picks either Scott or Vivek, the Dems will win this election.

If he picks DeSantis, it'll be closer.

I think picking Scott for him is the logical choice in that he can bring in the black, southern and religious/GOP party/right wing vote in the national election. I personally think Scott is actually scarier (Vivek too!) than Trump from the perspective that I can read Trump. Trump is kinda old news - he's an idiot blah blah blah. I think he's awful but he's kinda dumb Too emotional! He won't blow up the world and he won't damage anything in this country permanently. He's what we know because he's been in office before.

I think we will be the laughingstock of the world, I think absolutely he should not be our President and I agree that he will make life harder for a lot of good people by preaching hate and division. I would argue however that the GOP is on that already and I would also argue that people who are hateful will be hateful in private anyway so we'll see more of it out in the open because of Trump but he isn't so powerful as to turn people into crazies if they weren't already crazy to begin with.

Vivek and Scott on the other hand - they aren't blowhards. They truly believe in the shit they spew which to me is out of control. I laugh at Trump and don't take him seriously because I truly think he's a genius at marketing so 1/2 the stuff that comes out of his mouth is just babble that people give legitimacy to when they shouldn't. That's his power - we give him so much power - we give him credibility to his followers who embrace his type of hatred. I actually don't think he believes and knows 1/2 of what he says.

Having heard both Vivek and Scott - I think they are much more serious in their craziness and because they haven't been around to know what they are capable of. They both seem like followers of the right wing and that in itself is waaaay scary. Trump at least isn't following that mess - he just comes up with some crazy ass shit on his own like the Mexican wall stuff - totally impractical and unrealistic. Also I think Trump's age is a risk so whomever his #2 is - that's a good chance they get to be #1.

But trump humiliates Scott and Scott just smiles and takes it. Presumably any VP pick will suffer the same fate. It is so unpleasant and repulsive to watch. What a turn off. Maybe Tump should be the first candidate that just runs solo.
