Kate Middleton in Hospital - Recovering from Surgery

The public will never know what the actual problem is so the royals can say whatever they want. Given the length of time involved, maybe she's getting in-person treatment for an eating disorder or mental health issue. We will never truly know.

Now that is definitely possible.

The relentless pressure on princesses of wales to be stick thin

Could be ulcerative colitis surgery. That would explain her thinness even after 3 kids and heading towards menopause.

It’s digestive, definitely.

The hospital she is at DOES NOT have mental health or gyno dept.

I agree that a face-lift is a possibility, because they would need to keep her out of public view for a few weeks. I cannot imagine any other surgery, even a colectomy or something like that, that would keep her in the hospital for more than a few days.

I am sure they could bring it in if they wanted.

Maybe it's long lasting Lyme disease

If it had been Gyn, she’d have gone to St Mary’s or the Portman.

They do have plastic surgery, I see. I'm guessing it's a face lift.

Wow, DCUM folks really sleuthed this out. Never disappoint, DCUM.

So yeah, very likely some sort of digestive or colon issues: Crohn's, UC, or a bowel perforation.

My best friend had a bowel perforation while working overseas as an expat. It took forever to get properly diagnosed (months) and when they finally figured out that it was a perforation, he was in the hospital for about 2 weeks to recover after the surgery. You're on a ton of antibiotics and need round the clock observation.

She will be in the hospital for 10-16 days. It must’ve been a big surgery!

Or she’s the princess of wales and gets the literal royal treatment. The rest of us would have to be back at work.

Oh BS! Being in the hospital for two weeks is not because she's getting "royal treatment", something else is going on. The goal is to get out of the hospital not stay longer so you can be exposed to serious viruses day in and day out. It has to be serious for someone to have to remain hospitalized for that period of time.

They wouldn't schedule it at the same time as the King's surgery. Plus, her face is already tight. What's there to lift?!?

Her surgery was hastily arranged - not same day, but they probably had a couple days to prep everything.

They boot you out in 4 days for an abdominal hysterectomy, much quicker if it’s laparoscopic. For non-royals, that is.

If it was a facelift it would be apparent when she reemerges after Easter.

Maybe I’m naive, but isn’t she a little young for a facelift? And she doesn’t need it!
