Hating things because other people like them is elitist, tiresome, petty and also really not desirable. Raise your kids not to be contrarian ass hats.

Don't hate these things.

Don't respect people who buy them.

The idea that your respect for another person is based off of whether they buy a Stanley is asinine.

No, fair point. Crowd followers. Like the people walking around DC in 40 degree weather in their Canada Goose parka.

Not a Stanley, but if anyone is a Prime member they are having 35% off Hydroflasks at Whole Foods right now. They have amazing colors and I like that it isn't feeding this Stanley craze.

Look, I get the teen "coolness" factor. And it's fine as we've all been there. And I certainly don't begrudge it as a Christmas gift or whatever. I just kind of feel like . . . just say that then. Because you don't need a "Stanley" to keep water cold or hot.

Why such a dumb controlling rule? No cups in your bedroom? What?

Oh, all of us who have bought Stanley Cups (or equivalents) haven't earned your respect. What are we to do as you sneer at us from afar. Probably take another sip and not even notice your existence, really...
