Extremely practical gifts most people would appreciate

Every year, I have to buy my own wall calendar. I wish someone would give me a wall calendar with decently sized pages and cool pictures. Not a half-sized Norman Rockwell one, which is what my financial adviser sends me.

Wood cutting boards - since all my cutting boards are plastic and now I need to replace them because of the tiny shards of plastic we are accidentally consuming!

But wood cutting boards can't go in the dishwasher and shouldn't be used for raw meat. So what's your plan then? I think replacing plastic ones more frequently is really the answer.

Be sure to buy in bulk in case your spouse loses it.

Lol. This is something I would never buy myself, but if someone gave it to me I would appreciate it. But I don't think I would ever gift this to a husband, who would probably be at a loss as to why anyone would ever need to send such a thing with a container of brownies, when a plastic knife would work just fine.

I use a plastic one for meat and wood for everything else.

These are great cutting boards—they’re easy on your knives, not terrible for the environment or your knives and body like plastic, are dishwasher safe and made in the USA. Plastic is pretty much the worst cutting board material for countless reasons. I’d use bamboo before plastic.

Um, no. Decorative is the opposite of practical. And please, please do not bring that Ross junk into my house! NO RAY DUNN!

I think decorative items are practical!! You have to decorate a home! You must have a plain Jane home

NP. I don’t care for Home Goods junk. It would go straight to the thrift store.

Well you must be an outlier. Everyone I know loves decorative items

The OXO y-peeler is a good suggestion. Got one several months ago and could not believe what an improvement it was!
