I would love one of these, especially if it warms the water; bonus points if it blows warm air to dry.

I thought bidets would be gross, but I *love* mine. It has warm water, but it takes a while to get the water warm unless someone's just had a warm shower and there's warm water already in the pipes. Doesn't have a dryer, though, but that's ok. I use so much less toilet paper. I try to hold it until I can use my bidet. I miss it when I travel.

Mine also has a woman's wash, and I love it after s3x. DD just started her period and wants one in her bathroom. We got one for xmas for her. I wish I had one when I still had my period; I'm now in menopause.

I think it's a great gift, but it does mean that the recipient has to install it. Some are more difficult than others.

Which bidet do you have?

pp here.. I have this one.

That ikea tool box w/ all the different tools including different screwdrivers

Swingline stapler and staples

Custom stamp with family name and address

A really good broom and dustpan

Please do not ever buy a plunger as a gift. Or broom/dustpan.

I have someone a plunger as a housewarming joke gift. They said it proved very useful!

The best wedding gift we got and used more than anything else was kitchen scales.

Nice reusable grocery bags
Nice kitchen implements like especially measuring spoons/cups, the oxo peeler previously mentioned, big spoons, spatulas, nice knives, nice scissors

+1

I would add some nice trinkets like baskets and boxes to put these things in and display on your console table

A first aid kit for the car

When I had my first apartment my family gave me a box of tools-- hammer (claw and ball), three different kinds of screwdrivers, heavy duty stapler & staples, two step step-ladder, and a book on basic home repairs. My brother also added heavy duty car battery charger. That was decades ago and I still have it (with additions). At the time. I thought they had lost their minds but it was one of the best gifts I ever received.

I have given the same tools to other people getting their first apartment.

Goal zero charger--if you keep it charged, you can use it to keep your devices charged when the power goes out.

Highly recommend! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WEMMUK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Um, no. Decorative is the opposite of practical. And please, please do not bring that Ross junk into my house! NO RAY DUNN!

I think decorative items are practical!! You have to decorate a home! You must have a plain Jane home

NP. I don’t care for Home Goods junk. It would go straight to the thrift store.

Well you must be an outlier. Everyone I know loves decorative items

People like to buy the stuff for THEMSELVES. That’s the difference. They may not like your taste.
