Drug overdose @Justice HS

Anonymous
All the talk about the principal is just noise. The rampant fentanyl distribution is the problem. FCPD busted a dealer near Justice HS back in August and there is a report from yesterday that Steve Descano dropped the charges. We all knew that he was soft on crime, anyone who voted to stop prosecuting the drug dealers is part of the problem that led to this tragedy.

This is the same woman who was constantly quoting the Bible and Joel Osteen to staff. The bigger the front, the bigger the back.

^This doesn’t make sense. You can’t quote the Bible in a public school unless it’s for academic study—i.e. a course on world religions. The Supreme Court ruling back in the 60s banned religious education in public schools.

She came from Texas. Does that help you understand?

Did she bring the fentanyl with her? If not how is that relevant to the girl dying? I'm not a huge fan of hers, but she's dealing with a very difficult situation when there are drugs being sold in the area and the dealers are being let free.

The moderator closed the separate thread on the principal’s self-promoting reaction so this is where people are going to discuss her poor judgment and narcissism. No one is accusing her of being responsible in any way.

Also, when you say the dealers are being let free, you seem to be implying the charges were dropped rather than that Descano isn’t requiring cash bail. Do you have proof of that?

That isn’t proof the charges were dropped. Maybe the person should have been held without bail. But that’s a different issue.

Former Justice staff member here- It's true. Not only did 50 teachers leave last year, a huge amount of other staff left as well; from student services to custodians and building maintenance staff. A lot of the staff who left were award-winning people who were great at what they did, were greatly loved by the students, and loved the school community. Narcisse pushed out every good staff member you could think of. She did this because they either got in her way or because one of her "Amazing 8" (administrators) wanted them out for speaking the truth about how things were at Justice. Bottom line: Narcisse needs to go. She has no business being a principal let alone working in education. Either move her up to Gatehouse or transfer her to another school or office in the county.

Better yet, just fire her if she has “no business working in education.”

No one else in FCPS wants Tiffany Narcisse at their school, either, and she’d be more dead weight at Gatehouse.

According to WTOP News the principal said it was a heartbreaking loss for the community. Perhaps the twitter post is out of character? I don't know. I just hope the school community can come together over this tragedy, grieve, and heal.

At the NHS ceremony the day after she passed there was no moment of silence and none of the kids seemed to be impacted, two different worlds within the school. Beyond Justice there needs to be more drug enforcement county wide.

Agree
Why can’t the schools enforce when every single student knows the locker bay where drugs are sold and bathrooms where drug and vape activity is high

I too wondered what the actual case status was and searched the Va court records and they are indeed listed as nolle prosequi

This is embarrassing. I want to know who took the picture.
