What is while about that comment? Other than "walking and drinking is for hobos" which was a joke. NP ... I really enjoyed the "it's a sitting activity" part. |
Um, you must be from the conservative south. I'm from Atlanta - this is very much a thing. |
My 75yo dad just called and asked what our plans are for the evening and I said we are going ToTing with friends and he was like "Oh will there be booze for your walk?"

I don’t but it’s bc it’s a weeknight. |
+1 It is kid's event, not an adult event. We do not bring kids to bars either. So gross. |
So you only go to restaurants that don't serve alcohol. |
I’m fascinated by you people who think drinking around kids is almost as bad as shooting up heroin in front of them. Were you raised by alcoholics? Or are you southern baptists? |
I'll probably be sitting in my driveway with a fire pit after taking a gummy, while handing out candy. |
Was it a thing in the 70s and 80s in Atlanta? We are from smaller towns, but it just wasn’t what we grew up with at all. And I didn’t grow up religious. We aren’t super judgy about it. It was just surprising to us to see grown ups pulling wagons of alcohol around after we had our first kid. And I totally get that there are grown up Halloween parties and people drink. It is just the actual TOTing as a drinking activity for adults that sort of throws us. And we never provided alcohol at our kid’s bday parties when they were young. We don’t care. No one we can see is wasted. It just isn’t something we would ever think to do. |
That’s a great idea! |

I know I’ve got my pearls around here somewhere… |
Baptist’s |
Aren't the Baptists home sitting in the dark praying on Halloween night? How would they know who was out drinking around kids and why would they care since they aren't there to see it? |
Can’t wait for all these rode hard moms coming to the bus stop tomorrow complaining about how “tired and hung over” they are. Bless their hearts. |
