Do you want a government that governs and functions? If yes, vote Democrat. If you want obstructionism, vote Republican. |
Indeed! A few Rs + all House Ds helped save the globe from Gym Jordan as Speaker. He tried to tear the US down on Jan 6 and nearly bullied his way to Speaker. |
You like that No Labels was created solely to pull votes from Biden. Because you know your guy can't win a fair fight. |
OP, I’m a registered independent but truthfully, I can’t consider voting for the republicans based on who they are today. In theory, I’d like to vote based on the individual candidate. I’m staunchly pro-choice and pro-gun control as a currently pregnant mom of soon to be 3. I am frustrated by the amount of taxes we pay and think they are completely wasted. I think it’s easy to get distracted by the weird fringe social issues that an overly vocal minority on twitter likes to scream about. No one should be persecuted for their beliefs and should live how they want, but the over emphasis on pronouns and the like is truly a big turn off / not of interest for most people.
The Republican party is a complete mess, held hostage by a bunch of idiots (imagine that as a work environment - trying to do a project and the most idiotic colleagues you’ve ever met keep effing it up - why anyone wants to be in congress is beyond me). I don’t even trust a moderate Republican at this point because they’ve seen their party’s crazy and are apparently willing to put up with it. Not to mention, they can get nothing done. So hold your nose when you cast your vote. |
LOL. Thank God. If Biden and Trump get the nominations, do you think they will be the least liked pair matches up in US history? |
I think it will be better phrased as a rematch of the least popular candidates in American history. There is obvious dislike/hatred of Trump but for Biden I don't think it is as much dislike as it is a growing understanding of how his age makes him potentially unfit for office and therefore not worth the risk as a candidate. I'd still take Biden over Trump if they are the only choices but it's a crappy choice that most Americans won't be happy about. Then there are the few out there living in la la land that will drive around with Trump or Biden stickers on their car and will happily vote for them. I pity those people. |
What about the forward party? |
Too late in the game for them to gain enough momentum to compete with the RNC and DNC power and money. It's Trump or Biden. As much as that stinks, we must pick one. |
Thank you. You’ve put things much better than I stated. Although I think there is a little more than age behind some people’s frustration at having Biden as a candidate though it is the biggest/loudest/most frequent gripe we hear. |
Their plan is not for a presidential candidate this year. They have a long view and plan to build up. They can still be influential without running anyone for president this election. They certainly have my attention. |
The next election is about one thing, OP. How do feel about democracy? Is it important to you? Or would you be cool with supporting an authoritarian transition? |
Unbelievable. |
The party of insurrection and attempting to steal an election is running the criminal who’s on trial for it all. What’s “unbelievable”? |
If Trump wins, can you absolutely guarantee that he will relinquish the presidency in January of 2029? This should be an easy question. |
To preserve democracy the democrats. Until the republicans clean house. For example if mitt Romney were running I would switch to republicans, but currently republicans are in shambles. |
