She has nada idea how to be a mother. She is a total narcissist and can’t help herself
Lives for fame and accolades, shopping.
And posing. There will ALWAYS be a nanny in that house.
The NYT article had whitewashed dates wrong in Tinsleys favor. Met children in Jan 2022 and moved in soon after.
Bracelets are worn so kids won’t see their stepmother has Tattoos on wrists.
She’s a pro. Game, set, and got a match. He’s a puny idiot.

I can't imagine he has enough money for her.

DP. She doesn’t have a ton of options. The sugar heir didn’t work out and neither did topper. Gotta get in where you fit in.

Game, set , nailed him.

They lose their footing without the stability that everyday home life with a wife brings. Not saying I agree with it, but it is definitely something I’ve observed. These marriages don’t usually blow up dramatically. I think Tinsley is the unknown variable here.

This is from the NYT write up of the wedding, I’m sure haters are gonna hate but I thought it was respectful and lovely:

Mr. Bovard proposed with an emerald ring because emerald is his former wife’s birthstone. Ms. Mortimer and Mr. Bovard had established the significance of the gemstone beforehand.
“I wanted to do something that felt like I was incorporating her because I was coming into her family,” Ms. Mortimer said. “I wanted her to be a part of it because it hurts me so much that she’s not there for them. I thought that doing an emerald in some way would just bring her in.”

It’s dreadful and cringeworthy.
And of course, what they will see on the internet about her. She has overshared a lot. And it stays.
Everyone is terribly concerned.

+1

The poor kids. Dealing with their mothers death and then the dad just immediately shoving this woman into their lives. And everyone knows all this embarrassing public information about her. They will be vilified in school.

How about y'all stop contributing to the trauma by social shaming the father? Sometimes its better to keep your mouth shut and let people make their own decisions.

I have still yet to see any harm to these kids. Tinsely didn't invite TV cameras into their lives.

Widowed dads re-marry quickly...a tale as old as time.

I'll also add - the dad made a good move by marrying an older woman who has no kids of her own. The existing kids won't be competing for attention with a new baby.

Given the dad's social circle, he'd be hard pressed to find a woman who (1) doesn't already have her own brood of kids or (2) is younger and is OK not having a biological baby. Southern women from society families have kids young or if still childless REALLY want to get busy having their own babies.

In this sense, Tinsley is a unique "catch" in that she's happy to dedicate her attention and love toward the existing children.

I could see her demanding surrogacies and nannies in a way that’ll be splashy and embarrassing for the family in Augusta. But hopefully I’m wrong!

She’s going to announce a baby within 2 months

What’s wrong is she lied and told them she didn’t have any tattoos. Still has Toppers tattoo way down.
She thinks it’s funny that she has a mug shot and five prior citations from PB Police.
Has coasters and Xmas ornaments made with the mug shot.
She craves the spotlight and the kids are her new narrative.
Props.
Hadn’t tried this angle before.

The body language is just ick. Tinsley looks like she wants to soul suck her stepchild. The poor girl is trying to get away, and her twin sister is like NOOOOOOOOO!

I can’t believe this man thinks Tinsley would make a good wife and be a good stepmom to his young children. No way.

The south has a long history of tolerating functional alcoholism

NOT an isolated southern tradition. Unfortunately a very common history among a wide cultural and geographic spectrum. Literally, every country, every culture. Even the cultures that explicitly prohibit drinking, as many southern families do!!

Her maiden name is Mercer. She kept Topper’s last name even after they divorced because it’s way more prestigious.

Tinsley is a weird name. Pretentious, which is the vibe I got from her mother when I used to watch RHONY. Timsley herself, however, seemed like a genuinely nice person.

Tinsley’s full given name was Tinsley Randolph Mercer. Her sister was Dabney Winston Mercer. These are pretty standard Richmond high society-type names.

+1. Adding that in the south it’s considered low class to have a normal trendy name. The middle name is often a family name or you go by your middle name.

It's not low-class in the south to have a normal given name like Anna or Alice as long as it is time-tested. It's low-class to have a trendy given name that is someone else's last name, like Emerson or Kennedy. There are more American girls with those names as first names than there are people in the world with those names as last names, LOL.

I am very familiar with rich southerner naming convention of stringing together a bunch of last names and calling it a day. While that does persist, it is perceived as overly pretentious, so you see lots of rich people just going with classic names like Anna and Alice to not draw attention.

+1 no one in the Kennedy family is naming their kid Kennedy.

The wonderfulyoung mother of the three precious kids died June 2021. Robert met and hooked up with the “ Not It Girl” in October 2021. For one night sleepover. Then rendezvoused in Atlanta in November for weekend.
Then Palm Beach for New Years, and according to NYT interview, she decided she was all in and decided to be bold and tell him “ I love you and he said “ I love you too”
Are you kidding me?
She
Met his children in January and started moving her stuff in soon after .And never left.
The nanny did the mothering and TM stayed in bedroom with dogs watching TV with door shut.
Cook? That’s an old bit. Absolutely nothing. Augusta friends are disappointed and aghast.
And sickened over the Mimi ring. Appalling and shameful. Can’t polish up your reputation using this green theme to honor the former wife. So disrespectful and does the opposite of what yall intended. Definitely a major ouch moment at the wedding. And sad. And tacky. And unforgivable.

If you are Southern, you'll understand these two. Both are that crusty upper of Southern, Episcopalian, three or four generations deep and with the cool names to prove it. Though I'm surprised by the 8-year age difference.

Tinsley seems to me like a slightly more fashionable, media-hungry version of the rich, blond Southern mom/wife that exists in abundance in Atlanta, Charlotte, Richmond, etc. Husbands are always brunette, in some kind of family business, and ignore them.

They are both chasing the marriages they were hoping to get with Mr. Mortimer and #1 Mrs. Bovard.

This seems like an attempt at round two, with three convenient blond children wrapped up in the package that Tinsely didn't have to wreck her body to create. Easy peasy.

Wow. You are really angry. I am an Episcopalian and in Texas. And my name is normal. Many generations deep here including a town named after my family. We are not southern , but you need to shut the hell up on your presumptions about people. Tinsley appears to be a nice person, plus his children seem to accept her.
