Corollas also don’t come with a battery that will last 500k miles. Corollas are not Teslas. Teslas are not corollas. One of them is an affordable midrange reliable gas consuming car. The other is an ev with a better safety profile that does not burn fossil fuels. Choose what works for you.

Isn’t this what you want though? EV adoption will never get high unless they become affordable with appropriate infrastructure. The fact that Tesla’s are the new corollas means Elon is so far ahead of everyone else.

Anyone buying a car thinking they’re an investment is dumb in the first place. Every car I buy I expect it to be a $0 in the end.
