This is very strange. David Weiss signed the Biden deal and has now reneged on it. This never happens.

Also is David Weiss ever going to get a real job? His employment history is all about prosecuting Biden.

There is no way anything he “finds” on Biden will hold up in a court of law. This is just selective political prosecution and violates Biden’s constitutional rights.

then why did Rs ask for Weiss for this investigation to begin with? It's not like his employment history changed from last year.

2. A special prosecutor should have been appointed YEARS ago because of the conflict of interest. We have Biden's DOJ investigating a member of Biden's family in which Biden himself could be implicated. If this doesn't scream conflict of interest, I don't know what does.
3. It should have been someone from OUTSIDE the government BECAUSE of the conflict of interest.
4. Weiss has demonstrated through his actions... letting the statute of limitations lapse, agreeing to a sweetheart deal, not allowing investigators do a complete investigation.... that he should not continue in this role.

2. I believe Fatty Orange appointed Weiss as well as Durham, and Biden left both in place as he should have. Today's apparent preference from your tribe would have been to have Garland replace both. Of course, if Garland did that, your tribe would have screamed. The FACT is that your tribe acts like the Small Man-say whatever in the moment. Weiss asked for SC status, and he got. And no one has really even alleged that the WH or even Garland has been involved in the decisions made by Weiss.

The Whistleblowers called for A special counsel. Not Weiss. Why would he want a special counsel that was part of obstruction?

IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to "appoint a special counsel" to look into the Hunter Biden’s case in a Wall Street Journal op-ed published, Thursday.

"Justice officials prevented investigators from following the evidence. Appointing a special counsel would create a path for the investigation to continue with integrity. I hope transparency will restore public confidence in the idea that every U.S. taxpayer receives equal treatment under the law," Ziegler wrote.

"$weetheart deals shouldn’t be handed out like candy to the rich, powerful and politically connected."

Ziegler argued in his op-ed that he has disagreed with prosecutors throughout his career in the IRS, but the Hunter Biden case was the first time that he felt "handcuffed" by the Justice Department.

"I have disagreed with prosecutors in the past. In some cases I didn’t get my way. But those disagreements always followed the normal investigative process. I was always allowed to follow concrete evidence and investigate a case without being handcuffed or slow walked by the Justice Department."

He later added: "I would characterize the Justice Department’s behavior as obstruction."

As for Garland.... he is not dumb. At least I don't think he is. This case screams for an INDEPENDENT counsel. Weiss is not that.

And, answer this..... If Weiss, all along, has had authority to make charges when, where, and how he saw fit, why does he need special counsel status NOW?

1) the GOP most certainly asked specifically for Weiss, whom trump appointed to investigate Hunter Biden.
2) Hunter Biden is a private citizen who doesn't warrant a special counsel. To date, there is not a single shred of evidence implicating Joe in any of Hunter's business dealings.
3) Durham was not outside the government and he was just fine with you. How is this any different?
4) Weiss is following the facts where they take him, which to date is a tax charge that usually ends up in penalties and interest, not a pleas deal, and a gun charge that the 5th circuit has ruled is unconstitutional. D

Face it, if there were facts that would lead to more and serious charges, we would see them. As someone who voted for Joe, i can plainly state that if Hunter did something illegal he should be charged and tried for it. Same with Jared, Ivanka, Donald etc.

I am saying that Weiss has spent 5 years obstructing and slow walking this case. He did NOT properly investigate this case, as the whistleblower testimony indicates. Whether he was handcuffed by Biden's DOJ or part of a coverup remains to be seen.
You cannot possibly look at the plea deal that was proposed by Weiss and claim he did an effective job. It was a joke. He thought he would pull something over on the court. Fortunately, he got a decent judge who asked the right questions.

Durham wasn't an independent counsel and you were fine with him. I think the issue is you aren;t happy that Biden hasn't actually committed any crimes worth prosecuting. That isn't a Weiss problem, that is a you problem.
