Yea, I'm confused why the Rs are upset about Weiss being appointed **[b]WHEN THEY SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR HIM TO BE APPOINTED[/b]**.   I try not to get into the Rs heads too much these days, but this one is a real head scratcher.

1.  They didn't. 
2.  A special prosecutor should have been appointed YEARS ago because of the conflict of interest.  We have Biden's DOJ investigating a member of Biden's family in which Biden himself could be implicated.  If this doesn't scream conflict of interest, I don't know what does. 
3.  It should have been someone from OUTSIDE the government BECAUSE of the conflict of interest. 
4.  Weiss has demonstrated through his actions... letting the statute of limitations lapse, agreeing to a sweetheart deal, not allowing investigators do a complete investigation.... that he should not continue in this role.  [/quote]

1.  Yes, they did.  And the IRS "whistleblowers" did also.
2.  I believe Fatty Orange appointed Weiss as well as Durham, and Biden left both in place as he should have.   Today's apparent preference from your tribe would have been to have Garland replace both.  Of course, if Garland did that, your tribe would have screamed.  The FACT is that your tribe acts like the Small Man-say whatever in the moment.  Weiss asked for SC status, and he got.  And no one has really even alleged that the WH or even Garland has been involved in the decisions made by Weiss.  [/quote]

The Whistleblowers called for [i]A[/i] special counsel.  Not Weiss.  Why would he want a special counsel that was part of obstruction?

As for Garland.... he is not dumb.  At least I don't think he is.  This case screams for an INDEPENDENT counsel.  Weiss is not that.  
And, yes, both whisteblowers have alleged that Garland was involved in the lack of special counsel status.  Watch their testimony.

And, answer this..... If Weiss, all along, has had authority to make charges when, where, and how he saw fit, why does he need special counsel status NOW?
