Agreed. Here's a quote from the expose: "Two Farquhar teachers said they reported Beidleman’s conduct in fall 2021 and spring 2022 to Safe Schools Maryland, an anonymous reporting service run by the state that routes reports from Montgomery County to MCPS’s Department of Safety and Security. In May 2022, one of them anonymously emailed Superintendent Monifa McKnight and the school board that Beidleman emotionally abused and sexually harassed staff, according to the letter, which they provided to The Post. To the teachers’ knowledge, the district didn’t address the complaints."

Very disturbing allegations against current administrator of Paint Branch HS, who was formerly at Farquhar MS, Joel Beidleman. I wonder what MCPS will do about this.

In regards to his time at PB, I think this quote properly encapsulates it: "Grand opening, grand closing".

He was there long enough to send the PB faculty an email requesting 11 minute individual private meetings “to build team unity” aka scope out his new prey.

Please leave whatever racist nonsense you’re peddling out of this discussion-I’m sure these women wouldn’t appreciate you hijacking their complaints with whatever this is.

The women that were his victims absolutely see the pattern that falls along racial lines in this scenario. Not all black faculty and staff supported his disgusting behavior.

McKnight is done. This culture must change. MCPS needs an outsider to clean house.

Don’t forget the BOE. They were made aware and they voted on and approved Beidelman’s appointment.

It's pretty clear to all what happened and why.
This is not a case where it wasn't reported. This is a case where a higher agenda protected a predator.

I blame myself for not voting in local elections. That changes today.

Of course. Vote against all incumbents next year. That's what I will do.

It's also beyond distressing that Miya Page, a social studies teacher at Farquhar, made aware of these allegations (if not previously aware), immediately lavished Beidleman with praise.

Can you imagine if an actress in the wake of the #MeToo allegations made glowing public statements about how she'd never had anything other than great experiences with Harvey Weinstein?

TONE DEAF, LADY!!!

I want to clean house too and vote against incumbents. But how? Anyone not on the Apple Ballot? Where do I give my money too for reform?

The one thing that really stands out about these reports is how people feared retribution from higher-ups in MCPS if they shared their concerns about Beidleman's abuse and harassment. They clearly were operating on the assumption that he would be protected by people in positions of power, and that they would suffer adverse consequences if they reported his misconduct.

McKnight needs to resign immediately - she does not deserve the respect of MCPS families and cannot be trusted to serve in a role where she's making any decisions that affect either teachers or students.

When she spend an ungodly amount of money on a survey about race instead of addressing the post pandemic learning loss or the loss of teachers or the lack of sufficient special education teachers is when she should have been forced out. That she was allowed to stay tells me all I need to know about the entire board
