Please leave whatever racist nonsense you’re peddling out of this discussion-I’m sure these women wouldn’t appreciate you hijacking their complaints with whatever this is.

It's pretty clear to all what happened and why.
This is not a case where it wasn't reported. This is a case where a higher agenda protected a predator.

Compelling argument for school boards not having an agenda even if you agree, politically, with that agenda.

Just going by the Post article, the guy sounds like a liar and a psychopath who was protected by some of the most senior people in MCPS.

MCPS deserves to go down the tubes. It's clearly been turned over to a bunch of vile, self-serving cretins, all the way up to the superintendent.

Ah, yes, because we all know white guys never get away with sexual harassment. Give it a rest-the guy is a serial harasser, the situation with mcps ignoring is effed up, don’t wedge your race beef into this please.

This is a pattern.

Anonymous wrote:There are so many shameful and damning trends on display here at MCPS that I see often as a current parent:

1) Bad performers are not only tolerated, but promoted. MCPS always knows who the troublemakers are. The problem is, for whatever reason, those people are never punished or held accountable. Rather, the whistleblowers are the ones who get punished.

2) A culture that lacks transparency and accountability. How can this guy have THIS many reports on him that lead to "no conclusion" and still get promoted repeatedly? Who is his backer within MCPS? Why is it not offering clarity and specificity to its own employees as to the results of their own internal investigations? It's all shrouded under the guise of privacy, but it's a cover to do nothing and say nothing and not have to tell people about it.

3) MCPS only responds to PR issues. Over and over again, MCPS continues to bury its head in the sand or drag its feet when you try to work within the system. But once the media starts getting involved, THEN and only then, do they start to act. This is infuriating. It shouldn't take the media, who is asking the same questions parents and teachers have been asking, for MCPS to finally do the right thing.

In reading the article, Dr. Beidelman is sociopath and an unrepentant liar. Not only does he need to be fired, but several of his enablers as well. Dr. McKnight needs to stop letting bad actors get away with murder just because they're also people of color. It's not ok.

Not just because he was black, but because he promoted equity aggressively - refused to keep certain kids in regular, not advanced, classes, because that would skew race ratios and put more non-whites in regular, fewer in advanced. This despite post-pandemic teacher concerns that some kids needed more support.

As long as someone pays lip service to equity, MCPS will ignore EVERYTHING ELSE!

Yes and this is a direct reflection of the larger politics in this area.
Our local principal is a justice warrior who tweets non. Stop. About social justice but has yet to deliver a message encouraging academics or "hey kids! Read a book this summer!"
I'm so tired of the negative fallout in our lives, our children's lives, our neighbors and teachers lives from this disastrous political agenda.
I'm a moderate Democrat. I've had enough of this.

If you need a principal to tweet to tell your kids to read, you’re the problem. Stop blaming everyone else for your own lack of parenting.

During two annual Farquhar staff presentations about professional attire, he showed a picture of a woman’s midsection in tight leggings and said, “Camel toe is not allowed,” several attendees said. “I have never used the term cameltoe during a presentation to my staff,” Beidleman told The Post. But 24 teachers recalled to The Post that he did.

lol, what a liar.

He later suggested that the teacher owed him sexual favors, she said. Over the next several weeks, he sent her sexually suggestive texts, including: “So why cant my lips just get out on that kitty.”

I mean it really does seem like some heads should roll over this (in addition to his.) I’m honestly shocked.

What a story! This is excellent work by the Post. i had to reread the article to see if this was real.

Basically if not for wapo absolutely nothing would have been done despite long term, egregious, well documented, long paper/text trail, 20+ witnesses having, serial harassment. I mean wtaf, mcps? It actually takes a lot to shock me but I am truly shocked.

Chris Cram should quit. MCPS looks foolish and his non-answers aren’t helping.

There’s no guarantee anything will happen now either.

McKnight needs to step down immediately or be terminated for cause. At worst this is complicity in years-long sexual harassment; at best it’s gross incompetence. Either way she cannot be allowed to retain her position and state officials should personally intervene to make sure she gets the axe if the BOE won’t fire her.

I'm an MCPS employee and I want an apology from McNight and some transparency. Also, I have spent year after year watching compliance training videos including being a mandatory reporter. Do the higher ups not have to watch these???? Makes my blood boil.
