Most people go about their lives and don't buy things that have no interest. They don't fume at items that are for sale in a store, they just don't buy them. And that's how I wait til July and get all sorts of rainbow clothing for a low price. I'm not lgbt, I just like colorful clothing. |
Companies don't exist for "scores" on any sort of metric, they exit to make money. |
So you think Adidas had a male with visible bulge model a woman’s swimsuit because it would help sell the product more? What about Nike using Dylan Mulvaney to model a woman’s sports bra and leggings? How many women do you think wanted to purchase those products based on the advertising? Do you really think these companies would push this if the only goal was maximum profits? |
Yes, of course it's all about marketing and profits. Now, you can say they were getting terrible advice. And their calculations that this would help them with the youth market were misplaced. But come on. Everything corporations do is about sales. Do you really believe all those ads about how ethical BP is? Do you really believe that the Mission Vision Values statements from corporations are sincere beliefs not based on what they think will sell? All those feel-good commercials, you think those are made because those corporate lords are touchy-feely guys who truly believe in that? It's all marketing. Marketing has taken over everything. It's all about sales and capturing the attention of certain demographics. The real mission, vision, values of corporations is making money. That is all. |
That behavior is reserved for liberals on Twitter. |
