Recall that Scalia was on a fully funded hunting expedition when he died. |
So Scalia was a dirty judge too.
Not surprising. |
Judges need to be subject to the same ethics requirements as every other federal employee.
It’s ridiculous that a GS9 admin is subject to more stringent ethics requirements than a Supreme Court justice. |
It really is. They hammer the ethics into us cogs and the GOP justices are allowed to do whatever the hell they want, even if it would get us fired and possibly prosecuted. They’re clearly not handling their access well. Not declaring it, claiming it doesn’t affect their decisions. Bull. They know the taps turn off if they don’t decide the way their sugar daddies want. |
Party's over - and who cares, they have lifetime appointments and zero accountability. I know their egos want people to like them, but exactly none of their job security depends on it. Their rulings are still law of the land even if we have the rulings and think (some of) the people making those laws are corrupt as heck. |
No one in a position of power will be giving it up willingly for something as high minded as the greater good. They’re pigs at a trough. They’re going no where. |
This was the plan, I guess. Here goes another branch of government. Systematically undermining the people's confidence in the entire system until it crumbles under the weight of chaos. |
You have got to be kidding? Oh, the irony. |
Why are only the Republican justices accepting these expensive trips from billionaires?
I haven't seen any stories saying that Ruth Bader Ginsberg accepted lavish vacations and private school tuition for her grandkids. In fact, I haven't seen any stories about any Democrats on the SCOTUS being hosted by generous billionaires. Hmm.... Wonder why that is.... |
