PP is right. The fentanyl and opioid crisis are not exclusive to red states. Not at all. It is a nationwide problem and has been for a few years now.
For the first two years of his presidency, Biden hardly even mentioned fentanyl. Like most issues, they are behind the 8 ball on this crisis.

The nearly 65,000-square foot location at Trinity Place in the city’s Mid-Market neighborhood shut its doors Monday to “ensure the safety” of its employees, a Whole Foods spokesperson said.

The San Francisco Standard, an independent news website, reported that this Whole Foods location had previously reduced operating hours last year because of theft and changed its bathrooms after employees found syringes and pipes.

San Francisco Board of Supervisors member Matt Dorsey said on Twitter that he was “incredibly disappointed” by the closure.

“Our neighborhood waited a long time for this supermarket, but we’re also well aware of problems they’ve experienced with drug-related retail theft, adjacent drug markets, and the many safety issues related to them,” Dorsey wrote.

Appearing on “CNN This Morning” Wednesday, Dorsey said he’s “seen a lot of issues of people acting out and shoplifting” at the store.

Don't think that's the problem. When you tell a bunch of addicts that they can steal $999 worth of goods every single day without legal repercussions, well, you get grocery stores and drug stores closing because of theft and violence. This is what the people of San Francisco voted for. How they want to deal with it is up to them. As a former Bay Area resident I think the present situation is awful. San Francisco is typically a wonderful city. It's really sad what's happened over the past few years. But the only people to blame are the people of San Francisco themselves. Yes, but rural red states have had huge problems with poverty and opioids for decades. And let’s not forget that the states that lead in all of the bad indicators (poverty, lack of education, poor healthcare, shortest lifespans) are all red states.
This all does back for a long long time, not Biden’s fault.

I’m thinking of becoming a substitute teacher in retirement just so I can correct the stupidity in history now. The fact you even have to correct someone and tell them this shows me how bad history is being taught in publics. In addition, we have a lot of people here who are not US citizens who don’t understand the history of the US or our Constitutional Republic, right down down to state and local law, and how it works. I had some HOA idiot from another country tell me that we could not build a home on our buildable lot. Excuse? HOAs get some say in it so a pink shack isn’t built, but telling me I can’t build? My reply is that I could take my four acres (including the land our current home is on - they are adjacent) and sell it to one of the companies building teen rehab centers and adult mental health short-term facilities, which can be done through a legal loophole in our county, thus tanking his property values. Would he like that better? Amazing how fast the control freak shut up. Oh, and I joined the HOA’s architectural committee as well, just so I can keep these idiots in check.

While the French person (for instance) seems like a very nice person, she is constantly dissing this country, holding up socialism as the beacon of freedom, but doesn’t seem in a hurry to get back to France anytime soon. My guess is he/she is here due to job and money, something that could not be achieved in his/her own nation.

My friend was an HOA president and not only had people over weekly for dinner but also got the entire HOA to sponsor a community center in a third world country. He also ran a business and had four kids. Some people can do it all and with a smile. Be better.

Your friend does sound impressive! But who drove carpool for the lids' activities, took them to activities and doctor appts, cooked meals, cleaned house, washed clothes, did yardwork, etc?
