Ask a transgender woman and lets us know?

Ask several.

Do they run background checks on any other performer? Then I would assume they do the same for drag performers.

The real question is, why do you think a drag queen would be more at risk of having a criminal record than anyone else? Given their track record, I would trust my child around a drag queen before I would a priest.

Look, I'm not really a fan of drag either, I don't have an issue with it, it's just not my thing so it wouldn't appeal to me to take my kids to an event like this. But I certainly don't think that parents who do are endangering their kids safety.

You do not understand.

You are a closed-minded, transphobic MAGA-idiot bigot!

On the other hand, I don't try to suppress discussion by calling names.

If you say so. Do you ever ask yourself why these men want to be around young children. If they were not dressed up in these outfits would you still take your kids to see a random man read stories. For some reason the customers and make up somehow make it acceptable.

Now you have gone too far.

They want the next generation of humans to know there are people like them. And associate them with something positive rather than the negative they might hear from places like Florida.
It could just as easily be a police officer or a person in a wheelchair.

I would probably not be too drawn to such an event, but it is ludicrous (and offensive) to suggest they have some ulterior motive.

Do you think that pizzeria was really a pedophile ring too???

Seems the roots of cross dressing are about arousal. Hardly appropriate for a child’s story time. Even if it has evolved from this, it’s understandable that it makes people uncomfortable.

Progressives have normalized grown men and their fetishes - fine. But what’s up with making kids a party to this madness?

Since I am assuming the thread started because of the drag story time in Olney this weekend, I'm pretty sure the only ulterior motive was to sell tickets to Kinky Boots at the Olney Theater. Not provide a forum for sexual fetishes.

TX ICAC and FBI just arrested 59 people in connection with a giant porn ring in the DFW area. They also freed 28 kids during the bust.

Not one of the names listed is a drag queen. Many of the names listed are pastors, teachers, firefighters, leo, and the like.

Virtue signaling using your kids as props gets max points. That’s what this is all about.

We are told to listen to our instincts, and not paper over them. If some parents see “Drag Queen Story Hour” and their gut reaction is no, that is their business. Children can grow up being kind and fine without having to be immersed in every nuanced sector of society.

NBC 5 has also learned the arrested individuals include paramedics, firefighters, a teacher and a nurse and that some of the victims targeted young children, including infants.

PP specifically said pastors. Wondering where that came from. Or is this just another instance of DCUM jumping to conclusions?
