Would you be ok if your child asked your husband to dress up and put make up next time they want a bed time story. I’m sorry but it is weird.

It would be perfectly okay, but over the top and unnecessary lol, for the same reason that I take my kid to Disney World to meet all the characters but don’t put on a Princess Elsa costume when we watch Frozen. You seem a bit dim.

They also wear costumes that are whimsical and ostentatious which kids also find fun and silly. No different than a magician or clown show or a Disney parade—it’s a kid-friendly performance in costume.

Well trained? Where exactly is that happening?

The appeal is they are fun.

So entertaining.

There are all kinds of people in this world open your mind a little.

You take your kids to a church they are way more at risk there that is a fact.

If you say so. Do you ever ask yourself why these men want to be around young children. If they were not dressed up in these outfits would you still take your kids to see a random man read stories. For some reason the customers and make up somehow make it acceptable.

Our local children’s librarian is a man. Should I ask myself why he wants to be around children? I have no problem with him reading stories to my kids either.

My child gets great joy from painting her dad’s nails and doing his hair. This stuff isn’t gendered.

Ok. I’m the stupid one. Got it. Keep having your kid groomed.

What exactly do you think they’re being groomed for? Loving reading and stories? Perfect, exactly what I want to instill in my kid.

Don’t like kid-friendly drag shows or story hour? Don’t take your kids to one. No problem.

The PP raised why a random man wants to read stories. I’m responding to that. Drag queens want to perform. Storytimes are a venue to do just that.

ppp said that if there was no makeup or dresses we wouldn’t want men reading to our children. That’s false. Do try to keep up.
