Black Conservatives

I didn't see the original post as racist, but more so a way to understand the view from conservative person of color that vote Republican. It should be no surprise that Republicans are largely seen as a system of "US versus THEM" so it seems a little strange for a "Them" to vote against their own interests and for people that are so publicly bigoted.

Yep Desantos just exudes inclusivity. Keep voting for the people that openly call you vulgar names and have zero empathy for police brutality against minorities. Can't reason with stupid.

FL = safe for everyone, including minorities. Oh, and schools open (safely so) most of 2021-2022.

DC, NY, Chicago... = unsafe, especially for minorities. Oh, and schools closed, throwing everyone, especially minorities, under the bus.

Signed, minority.

I agree on one thing, though: Can't reason with stupid.

I think it comes down to the Republican party doesn't like you nor do they want or care about your vote but yet you still vote for them. They can close down almost every polling place in exclusively minority areas and nowhere else, and keep redistricting to make their precincts more white but that's not racist. Thye keep showing you time and time again they don't want you in their party nor want to represent you and you just keep signing up for more. I don't understand.

So opening schools during a global pandemic = smart. Got it.

Living in an urban city = bad for black people. Got it. Does FL want them? Florida seems awful white to me. Isn't FL busing people to these cities of crime who are just coincidentally minorities. Hmmm. Thought provoking.

Black Americans owe everything to the Democratic party. It is literally the only thing standing between them and a re-imposition of the 1850’s.

We've had Republican House, Senate and Presidency recently. Are we in the 1850's?

Meanwhile, Sheila Jackson Lee just introduced House Resolution 61, "Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2023"

Are you itching for a fight? You really should look at some of the footage from Yugoslavia sometime. No one won.

They are so quick to proclaim they're not like the others because they are Republicans and they want a gold star for it because they think differently. It's like, nobody cares, you aren't special.

Also no, black people will.never vote Republican en masse again. Enjoy being a puppet.

By 2023 it's quite obvious that Dems never walk the talk. Anything they touch gets worse, especially for minorities.

The real question IMO is why so many blacks still vote Dem. It's like a form of community suicide.

Black voters are not stupid. They know that Democrats represent their interests and concerns while Republicans oppose them.

Hahahahaha.

When you say "represent" you surely mean "talk and talk and talk and do nothing to improve things."

EVEN IF it were "talk talk talk and do nothing" which at worst just keeps the status quo, your GOP is actively trying to do things to make it WORSE for you.

And, that's also ignoring the fact that literally every single piece of civil rights legislation of your lifetime to give minorities the same rights as whites came from Democrats, while being fought by Republicans. It's the absolute height of ignorance, to pretend that all Democrats have ever done for minorities is "talk and talk and do nothing."

I LIVE there -- meaning here.

FL is one of the few states where violent crime hasn't exploded since 2020. And you do know it's minorities who mostly suffer it, right?

Oh, don’t you wish. Welcome to the racist minds of your liberal peers. I’m conservative and have requested this thread to be deleted several times - but the liberal moderators leave it up. That should tell you all you need to know, right there.

You must be the right wing idiot that doesn't think lead paint harms IQ and instead throws up nonsense about "liberal racism."
Just stop. You're embarrasing yourself.

If you don't think this entire thread is horribly embarrassing to Democrats in general, then there is something very wrong with you.

Because conservatism has defined itself as turning back civil rights progress and womens rights progress and denying that there was ever a need for either.

Examples of "turning back civil rights progress"? We'll wait.
