Also, the majority of Black people are socially moderate to conservative. Republican racism alienates them, so they vote Democrat…but don’t confuse yourself that they have much in common with ultra liberal white people spouting progressive jargon.

I think 'republican [insert offense] alienates them' explains more votes for democrats that democrats would like to admit, and not just among minority voters. UMC white professionals turning en masse to the democratic party has more to do with republicans than democrats

You’re exactly right. As an immigrant who finds the “progressive” social agenda absolutely abhorrent, I end up voting Democrat or staying home because Republicans are so xenophobic. If Republicans turned the hate down even one notch, I’d never vote Democrat again.

Unluckily for you, that's not in the plans, unless you count those who plan to keep their hate speech behind closed doors.

I don't know who you are, but this is a huge tiresome trope and seems to be all you can say. Get a new schtick please.

What you do is you register with the dominant party in your state or locality (probably the Democrats if you're around here) and vote for the most moderate candidate in the primary. Then vote your conscience in the general. If you can stomach being overtly political, openly declare support and encourage others to vote for the moderate candidate.

- Immigrant and ardent supporter of David Blair (sigh).

Shouldn’t that tell you something is wrong with your party if people won’t vote for your candidates because they are just too extreme?

The other lesson a lot of Americans need to learn, whether immigrants, or those who've been here for generations, is to think more critically, evaluate their sources more closely, and stop buying into things that are being falsely made "abhorrent" through lies, smears, false attacks, and so on. For example, the right wing's outrage over "critical race theory is taught in k-12" which turned out to be false, yet not before easily misled right-wing lunatics from all around the country descended on school board meetings making horrific threats to murder the board members, rape and torture their families, and burn their homes to the ground. And, it got far right Republicans elected. Or, lies like "the far left progressives are putting litter boxes in school bathrooms for kids that they are encouraging to be cat gender" when that never happened either.

DP. If you don't like being called the leopards-eating-faces party then maybe you ought to change your ways and stop supporting and electing people that constantly make you come across that way. It's not us, it's you.

A large percentage of black conservatives are there for the grift.

Hodge Twins and many others - phonies, just telling the right what they want to hear, while it lines their pockets...

Because it’s all this person contributes. Which tells me the person’s intellect is lacking

Why leopards eating faces? Why not some other phrase. Or bears eating trash, or anything else? It seems like an inside joke.

Let's be fair. Republicans doubled the number of black congress members in the most recent election. Doubled. Now there are 4. That's twice as many as two, which is how many there were before.

Wow. You are implying that he is incapable of independent thought or decision making.

I will take Byron Donalds any day over Maxine Waters or Hank Johnson.
