I work for ring wing conservatives. At a trade association so a lot of these people are entrenched in GOP politics. They. Don't. Care. They don't think the shooting is a big deal. If anything, they think it's political games like everything. It's always a matter of winning regardless of the outcome.
I repeat. They don't care. They are invested in the government failing and privatizing as much of government's tax spending as possible. The rationale varies. Most want to profit off it, some are religious and want to live in a more moral society, some are racist and think black people and Hispanics are the demise of our country. Most like guns or don't care about guns being everywhere (again to shoot said black and Hispanic people first ask questions later to prevent crime or people getting out of line is a common view on how to handle crime). They hate gays. They realize the gay issue is a lost one, so trans people is the new trojan horse. It's actually working. It's all working really. Critical race theory crises. Worked well. Privatizing Medicare is next (that intersects with my world somewhat). We're white. All of us at work. And the things I hear would make your skin crawl. But it's a job and they don't advertise, right wing, racist trade association in the subject line. So, I just do my job, keep my mouth shut and look for something new |
