Maybe it's pretty clear how tragic our gun culture society has become when 14 children are gunned down by a man with a legally purchased gun and numerous armed personnel and police unable to stop him, or the shooting of innocent people in one week- with armed personnel unable to stop him and a 911 dispatcher who did nothing. All the stupid arguments go out the window. No one except reprobates will tolerate it now. Hopefully, finally.

Correction: Armed personnel UNWILLING to stop him. UNWILLING. Exposing at last the canard about "good guys with guns."

It is all bullsh*t, it was always bullsh*t, and it is no longer going to be tolerated.

If you don't support serious gun control, you support the killing of children.

Surely you can protect your family and go hunting with something less bloodthirsty. Now I just need to have the guts to ask those around me irl and online where they stand

Assault weapons are already banned. And semi-automatic firearms cover pretty much every firearm.

If you’re going to talk about this, at least learn the terms.

DP. Do you support civilian ownership of AR-15s? Do you support putting into the hands of dangerous people a weapon that has been used to kill thousands of times over as many people than could have been killed by just about any other weapon legally available to the public?

What scares you so much about the AR-15? It’s a semiautomatic long rifle similar to dozens of other models on the market.

Like I said, if you’re going to talk about this, at least try to get informed about the subject matter beyond “this gun looks scary.”

I notice you dodged the question there.

And then telling me how many kids were killed in Chicago by guns and how many car accidents there were yesterday. Same old nonsense. I just said we were done. I could not be friends with her anymore. She was shocked and sobbing.

Enough is enough. I can’t hear the lies anymore.

They were probably sobs of joy because she can’t stand listening to you and your one sided point of view on a daily basis. Friends don’t need to agree on everything in life, they just need to be respectful when they disagree. Sounds like you need work on the respect part, your friend will be just fine without you.

No one needs to "agree" with sociopaths. It's not not a life skill. Yours is not an opinion, but instead it's derangement. Don't YOU DARE try to normalize your dangerous "opinion." It's not an opinion, you are just a horrible person. And you need to know that. That former friend needed to know that.
It's time to say NO.

You’re calling over half of American households sociopaths because they believe in a constitutional God given right to self protection. You can disagree on the details but again it does nothing to further your argument. The whole “violence will stop when people care more about their children then their guns” is the kind of garbage argument that makes the anti gun crowd feel good while legislators know it’s an issue that can’t be touched. We care about 2A because we love and desire to protect the health and welfare of our children, plain and simple. Let’s debate the details, sure. I think the firearm purchase age will nationally go to 21. Will this stop the horrible decline of human decency in America right now? No.

Only about 30 percent of Americans own a gun. Your beliefs are extremist.

God given right? Where did THAT come from. God is the Constitutional author? What?

Sorry, answered the wrong item. It refers to the guy here and his comment about God given right to the Constitutional amendment.

Who are these people?

Abortion kills way more people than guns, do you support the killing of children in that manner?

Embryos are not people. Try again.

Is this a choice? Yes, I prefer to have a million abortions every year and zero school shootings, if those are the options open to me. Are you saying you would trade the lives of school children to save some embryos?

Nope, we are no longer going to be gaslit by this nonsense. Embryos are not children, and forced-birthers like you don't think they are either, since you would not choose to save an embryo over one of your own living children. Embryos may be "alive" but so are skin cells. They are not people and should not be prioritized over people.

Stop blaming republicans. They didn't kill those kids. This was a very troubled young man who didn't get the help he needed from his parents/family, school and community. Lets start there.

Republicans armed that kid and therefore are responsible for the children's deaths. Period. Sorry if that hurts your feelings. If you vote Republican, you support the killing of children.

And then let’s move onto the fact that then he was able to go out amd easiky buy an assault rifle with zero background check or oversight. So mebtal illness didn’t kill those kids the assault rifle in his hands did. Duh!
