Why do people on this board hate on Georgetown?

My kid preferred urban locations.
Among the schools DD applied ND had the worst location and non-urban.
Ironically, DD ended up choosing ND for overall.

Have you been there in last 15 years? It used to be so grubby and drab - but now it's really nice. I prefer it to Ann Arbor these days - which used to be my fav college town

I've heard this from so many people. I dont think GU cares so whatever. But people really dislike their summer program. Even when you get there the whole situation seems to be run by a couple of kids. They obviously dont use it to recruit anyone. Just a money grab. (The kids who attend usually like it so .. maybe that's enough?)

Because it rejected my kid who just graduated from Dartmouth. Screw you Gtown. Sorry we didn't have connections to get in there but he did it on merit. So many people I know that got in were Legacy (active parents), URM, or recruits. No space left for others.
