You're still allowed to wear a mask even without a mask mandate. To see this in action, travel to any other county in MD except PG.

Duh. I know that. But it's not as protective for either party. Hence the shopping before all the other people's masks come off.

How close to people to you get at the Giant?? Whole Foods? If you are so scared - go early to any store - you will be alone.

Also - there are many resources to help you with your mental health issues on Covid. If you are obese or smoker - you can also get help.

And if you have reason to believe you might be sick or infectious, why in the hell are you going to the grocery store (or anywhere else) in the first place???

Is you having the freedumb to run errands more important than my health? Why should I have to rely on your flimsy little disposable mask with its gaps on the sides to protect me from the germs you’re (not worried about) spreading?

Your mask is to protect ME. You’re not wearing a mask to protect yourself. And if you think you need to be wearing a mask because you might infect others, you should just stay home instead.

What else are we supposed to do? At some point one needs to buy food. Some of us have basically been home for a year and a half and done our part. Maybe if you did your part Covid would have been gone and we all could be back to normal.

Wonderful news! We will be having a large restaurant party for my son's college graduation! Can't wait to properly celebrate and see everyone's faces.

The balaclava pp is actually super weird, but I find this somewhat upsetting. I wear such covering in the winter as I have sinuses, frequent ear infections and now hearing loss, and several collapsing vertebrae in my neck. This causes me extreme pain all the time and bundling up like this makes my neck warmer and minimizes the pain, or at least I think it helps.
Now, I see that freaks like this pp are ruining what is just keeping warm and hoping to avoid sinus and ear pain.

DP. Get a grip on yourself. People used to shop sick all the time. Single parents, working parents, if you are vaccinated covid is not dangerous to you, nor is it likely that you will give it to your unvaxed kids. Despite people claiming you will spread it, and yes you could, it is very low chance that vaccinated people are spreading it at any alarming rate.
You never cared about the flu or even pneumonia before, and honestly most of us are just done with people like you. You can come to HS football games and realize how crazy you sound demanding on dcum that people mask to protect you. It makes no difference, 100s of kids are unmasked in our very own MoCo, all the time. Thinking that your virtue signaling here makes any difference is well... delusional!
The problem is hat you did not get on with your life as you should have, and have no idea what the "freedumb" are doing next door to you.

No, in December. He had to do his internship this past summer as everything was cancelled the summer of 2020. So, this Fall he graduates. People are flying in for his graduation.

Oh yes, some people, JFC. You should look out for your own health. Your post - "My health, protect me, protect ME, you should stay home." No, if you are immunocompromised, YOU should stay home and look out for your own health. You can shop when the stores are less crowded, order in, get deliveries. Let the thousands upon thousands of us vaccinated and not immunocompromised go about our lives, but no, it's all about you putting restrictions on everybody else because of your problem!

Look up the deaths per capita by state. Some of the states with the strictest mask policies are higher than some of the states with the least restrictive mask policies. Virginia has been without masks since the spring and has a lower death rate than Maryland. If you are uncomfortable, wear your mask. Go get an N95 one and put a face shield on as well if that makes you feel better. Stay 6 feet away from others. Use common sense. Don't go to crowded events. Go get the booster. The healthy and fully vaccinated have a low risk of get sick, extraordinarily low risk of going into the hospital, and the chance of dying from COVID are lower than a myriad of other illnesses and accidents - the exception being if you are immunocompromised. Either the vaccines work at preventing a catastrophic outcome or they don't. This is what we were told regarding the whole reason for getting the vaccine. Are they lying?

Actually we can. Are there exceptions, sure. But we know who is most at risk 18 months into this. I can’t worry about the 1 in a million chance I will be the exception.

Congratulations to your family. I hope everyone enjoys a wonderful celebration.

The mask wearing in this area is just over the top. Enough already. If you want to wear one, go ahead. But it's not necessary to mandate that everyone wear one. I was in Towson over the weekend and it was so nice to see people not wearing masks but also being respectful of personal space.

Unvaccinated were and are dying from pneumonia, the flu, from Lyme disease, cancer... Life is full of risks. Your risk of covid being vaccinated is likely less than of any other illnesses. Why were you not worried about the flu 4 years ago?
Why is this paltry risk different than all he other risks? What is worse about covid than flu if you are vaccinated?
I am honestly asking. I can't understand the reasoning of fearing covid while vaccinated more than you ever feard a myriad of other transmissible illnesses than can also results in death.

I was worried about the flu but the discussion is about Covid which has killed 700,000 plus people in the us alone. Flu has not. Covid is not fully under control.
