Did this HOPS position exist at the beginning when this school founded? My understanding is, her role only for non-academic things?

It did exist. There were a few before.

Since her role is not about academics, how come teachers left because of her? Is the turnover rate here normal comparing to other private/independent schools?

Nothing is normal about the turnover rate at BIM. If interested ask about admin, faculty, staff and students.

Some do see this thread. And some have rather fresh experience to share. However, sharing this experience (either positive or negative) could lead to an easy identification. Few would like to be known on an anonymous forum.

Especially this time of year. BIM is one of those workplaces where you can get called in and told you won't be coming back next year with no warning or reason. It's at will employment, and when they change their mind for whatever mysterious corporate reason, bye bye.

Part of the reason so much of the staff turns over is that they see what happens to others and know how much support they can really count on from the corporate owners. Better to find another school with a solid working relationship.

That’s sad.
Why basis Silicon Valley and nyc can keep doing good. We parent should complain to the corporate. let them know it’s strategically wrong. Keeping good teachers will attract more students naturally.
