Basis McLean new HOS

You are the exact reason we love Basis McLean so much because this school provide the friendly and equal environment for our kids no matter what races they and where their parents from.
Because those racial discriminators like you who rely on the toxic discrimination air cannot survive in our healthy good air. LOL

Shameful for your racist and empty-headed post!
Yes, I am first generation immigrant. Yes, I cannot write perfect English.
But my kids are doing much better than your kids in school. And I am much more successful than you because I can afford the tuition for two kids. This land gives everyone the opportunities to be successful but you the racial discriminator!

You know nothing about the person you are posting to, but you revert to making up all kinds of nonsense about your supposed superiority.

That tells us nothing about the person you are attacking and quite a lot of sad evidence about you.

Just reacting to your published words. You chose to put them out there. I don't care anything else about you, except that your attitude typifies many BASIS parents, confirming why it is not a suitable school for anyone who would dare to deviate from the test robot grind model.

Good luck.

"Blind robot grind" = racist anti-asian insulting stereotype - I am a different poster but I find this type of language disgusting and totally racist. Does anyone call St Albans' white athletes blind robot football geeks because they practice a lot and work hard at it?
I am sick of pseudo-liberal racists.

It has nothing whatsoever to do with race. All the BASIS kids who last there end up like that. It's the goal of their curriculum. Maybe if you stopped reading words into text that were never there, you could chill out some.

That's what I wanted to express too.
My kids don't feel the home work burden at all. Usually they finish their homework less than 30 mins everyday. The teacher won't give them home work for weekends, winter break and spring break.
I guess they have to work hard at school to catch up with the advanced curriculum by focusing at the class. Isn't this a good thing? Kids at Basis won't have interests to do drugs, small circle bullies like in other schools with many rich kids.

What grade are they in that so little homework is given? That is not the experience most BASIS kids had unless something has changed drastically, which would surprise me.

Basis did scale back on homework this year.

It's good for lower grades.
But for higher grades, I feel there are not enough challenges for some subjects.

Just checked niche. Basis McLean ranks #10 Best Private school in DC area. Better than many well known names in this area: Maret, Landon, Georgetown Prep, Bullis, etc.
Basis charter schools also rank high in US news Best public schools.
Very different from what we saw from this forum.

One website makes a list based on its particular criteria that may or may not have anything to do with what many families and students want and need. Rah rah.

If it's such a big deal, why was BIM virtually ignored by parents here during application season? Nothing but crickets chirping here for months.

I think people will trust Niche and US News more then this forum.

No one trusts Niche. No one is denying the school has good academics. The school encourages parents to write reviews and yet the review average is around 3.5. This actually reinforces what is being said above. Good academics, sad environment.
