It feels like the ship is just moving through the ocean on autopilot because the pilot isn't giving direction. Meanwhile bad stuff is happening but the ship doesn't change course. It is a very uncomfortable feeling.

The most uncomfortable part for me is knowing now some people did not see it coming, like, AT ALL

Yes, he did. For all the whining about Trump, at least he had the border under some semblance of control. Whatever Trump did, his stances sent strong messages and discouraged migrants from coming to the border.

This border mess is entirely of Biden's making. He owns it outright. And it's too apparent his administration has no real plan for the border because they really don't care.

Frankly, I'm not expecting much from Biden. The bills will probably fail this fall as the Democrats infight and squabble. The border mess gets messier. COVID goes nowhere. In 2022, the Democratic voters are discouraged and don't turn out while the Republicans turn out in record numbers and backed by conservative leaning independents, deliver large majorities in both houses to the Republicans, and then 2023-2024 is effectively stalemate with little done and periodic government shutdowns.

Then Trump runs again in 2024 and all hell breaks loose. 2020 on steroids.
