Maybe Biden should have had a better plan with a timeline that allowed for evacuation.

This is on him.

The PP is going to continue repeating her talking points on every.single.thread, without ever acknowledging that Biden COULD have changed the terms of the withdrawal. He chose not to. The end result is his fault.

How could he? You think the Taliban would come back to the table after Trump gave them everything they wanted? You think this would have gone better had Trump “won” again (god forbid such a bad thing should befall us again!)? You think his immediate pull out that he wanted by January 2021 would have gone better? https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/16/us/politics/trump-troop-withdrawal-afghanistan-somalia-iraq.html

And finally if you guys are so concerned about rape, why don’t you ever speak up when Republicans (truly, you’re more appropriately called “rapepublicans”) are convicted of rape and pedophilia. Or when elected Republicans and those running for office say women should have stopped it and that rape is just “inconvenient.” You don’t give a damn about bodily integrity, at all. You know we know that, right?

Wow. Some real whataboutism there, Skippy.

Biden owns the Afghanistan debacle. Face it. He set the date. He executed his "plan." It's all on him.
And, looks like Biden managed to replace the SIV holders and true Afghan allies with real winners. Just lovely.

Congressional Democrats are fractured. Progressives are threatening to torpedo the infrastructure bill. Moderates are threatening to torpedo the budget reconciliation bill. Biden is nowhere to be seen. He's neither leading nor deputizing someone to lead his domestic policy agenda. He's doing nothing to unite the factions within his own party behind him. His absence has Democrats tearing into each other while Republicans gleefully stand on the sidelines.

Meanwhile, everything that could go wrong internationally is practically going wrong: The botched exit from Afghanistan, the recent drone strike that killed innocent civilians in Kabul, the botched diplomacy with France over building submarines for Australia, and the Haitian refugee crisis on the border and mass deportation of Haitians back to Haiti, even though a substantial number of people journeyed to the border from somewhere else.

And where is Kamala Harris? After Biden's inauguration she was seen with him in practically every meeting. Now the Vice President appears to be, umm...flipping coins at football games and planning to go on The View. What gives? Did Biden distance himself from Harris after her own political debacles earlier this year? Is Harris distancing herself from Biden? Regardless, a wedge has formed between the President and VP at a very inopportune time.

Biden spoke all about unity during the Inauguration. He's failing spectacularly. Forget about unity with Republicans and conservatives. He needs to start unifying the Democrats...right now. Otherwise, the party is going to take a shellacking next year when they have nothing to show voters after being in power.

Have the President and Vice President not been leading? It’s just that Biden and Harris’ inherent leadership is poor and irresponsible.

NP. I'm conservative. Honestly, don't pretend you didn't know Biden was kind of a weak leader. But, he's president now and we have a lot of problems in the US, and he's who we elected to tackle those issues. We aren't going to make any progress if we attack everyone we elect into that office.

“Debacle.” We’re out. We’re not spending $300 million a day. I’d like you to note that, as expected, conservative states don’t want any Afghani refugees (lovely, true humanitarians you guys are). Perhaps if Trump hadn’t closed the office for two years, we’d be able to get them out.

I’m starting to realize that you cons are really unhappy that it went well. You’re always rooting against America.

So much off-topic, hysterical deflection. This thread has nothing to do with rape, though you're clearly fixated on the topic and/or are trying desperately to deflect from Biden's utter messes.

DP. Are you really this stupid? Republicans have been cheering on the evacuation of Afghan allies from the start of this DEBACLE - and yes, welcoming them to the US. Why? Because they are *actual* refugees, fleeing a country taken over by violent terrorists - unlike those at our southern border.

Talk about rooting against America. You seem desperate to turn the US into a third-world country.

Hey, Hon. This was BIDEN'S withdrawal. All on him.

I voted for HRC and voted for Biden but it’s pretty clean that Biden/Harris don’t know what they are doing. Would it be better under Trump? Absolutely not. Just a sad state of affairs that with 300mm citizens, this is all we can come up with to lead our nation.

Looks like Pelosi will have to pull the infrastructure bill. What an epic political failure.

Or not. It's an easy win then and still is now. What they'll have to pull is the BBB and they should have done it months ago. Oh and fire Buttigieg.

No offense but you present as an utter imbecile. The previous posters were addressing the evacuation for which Biden alone is responsible and it is impossible to defend that unmitigated disaster.

The progressives won't vote for the infrastructure bill without the BBB, and since the GOP won't vote for it either, the Bi-Partisan bill won't pass the House.
