Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
| According to moderately Moco. Says they can’t punish the known problems because their suspension rate is already too high |
| A fight at a HS?! |

| Again, we need to send all the violent offenders to alternative schools instead of letting them terrorize adults and kids who just want to teach and learn. There's only one alternative school, currently, and after a while, students are sent back to general Ed. This needs to stop. We need more seats, and they stay there until they graduate or age out. |
| This is getting absurd. When is enough enough for MCPS Admin and Principals? Suspend and expel these kids and instead of returning them to school reopen up a school for kids with behavior problems. |
| Clarksburg has a program for Emotionally disabled students. |
|
We received tip about a fight today at Clarksburg HS resulting in staff injuries.
Allegedly, it’s been brewing for some time with smaller versions of a fight everyday. This was a very large fight that involved all of the security team and admin. Area superintendent has allegedly said Clarksburg cannot suspend students because their suspension numbers are too high and this has resulted in students behaving however they want having no consequences. At least one student involved in the fight recently returned from a suspension for a different altercation at school. After the big initial fight today, several smaller fights broke out. Police were called into the school for support. There was also a big fight at Snowden Farms ES after school yesterday involving high school students from Clarksburg. Unknown if related to today’s fight. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/ACcydcrPzx63nRtJ/?mibextid=WC7FNe |
| A “tip” lol |
“Emotionally disabled”? |
LOL - everyone is a victim of something. These students just have an emotional disability that teachers and staff need to learn how to handle better. Not the kids' faults. |
Essentially kids who have been removed from their home for extreme abuse. |
