Is this true? I still feel pretty hurt by some people in my life. I’m moving on and I’ve heard people say that bad people get theirs in the end, karma, whatever.
I just thought of this after reading the P Diddy post - it took 20 years for his downfall. Please share stories of bad people who eventually met their fate, without you causing it and having moved on. |
I think the internet has made this happen a lot more. I looked up a classmate who had a party in 5th grade (1979) and invited the whole class except for me and another girl. Today He has three different mugshots on the Florida county website. |
Nah. I don’t believe so. As evidence of that, I point to people in traffic.
There are drivers who *every day* think nothing of cutting people off, cutting in line in front of other drivers, tailgating, driving extremely aggressively and being a complete dick behind the wheel, and nothing ever happens to them. And that’s just driving…. There is no real Karma in the sense of the universe keeping score and punishing bad people. I used to think there was, but I’ve seen enough now to know otherwise. There is only sociopathy and nonsociopaths. The only real Karma is that which you dispense your self. If you don’t do it, it won’t happen. |
One look at my ex husband and myself and you’ll know quickly who the bad person is. I believe we reap what we sow. Tragedy is going to befall us all- no amount of “clean living” or good karma can prevent disasters, tragedy, loss.
But we are, over our lifetime, the sum of our choices. And even though it often takes longer than we think/ we reap what we sow. |
I am a firm believer in the power of karma..both good as well as bad.
I don’t think karma ever forgets a face either….. |
With the traffic example - eventually these people get a ticket for driving too fast, running red lights etc. So there is punishment.
I think people treat unkind people differently, and not in a good way. So there is that karma. |
I 100% agree about karma. If you are lucky, God will let you watch. |
I don’t know about karma. I do believe that the energy you put out in the world comes back to you eventually. If you treat people well they will respond appropriately, and if you screw people over it may come back to haunt you. |
Donald Trump blows the whole karma theory to shit. -Hindu |
So far anyway. There's always hope. |

How do you explain the tragic and brutal murders of people, mostly women, who others describe as "lighting up a room"? Why do people who "light up a room" attract psychos who want to dim and turn off their bright lights? That seems more common than stories about evil bad people getting justice. |
It’s not *always* true that bad people get what is coming to them, but I think it’s more often true than not. I don’t believe in karma as some kind of mystical force, but at the observation that, in general and over time, most “bad” behaviors have consequences that aggregate over time or the risk of a bad outcome that, even if low probability, means your number eventually comes up. That said, it has been long observed that the wicked sometimes do prosper. |
Well, if it does happen. I hope God lets us watch. |
Yup. And Netenyahu. Unfortunately, some bad people continue to thrive and be propped up. |
