Gonzaga Waitlist -- odds?

Anonymous
DS was waitlisted at Gonzaga.

Wondering if anyone has a sense of number of students on the WL and how the movement has been in the past. They note that they take the kids with strongest school performance off the WL.

Do they WL all applicants or do they turn anyone down?

Thanks.

Holy. I wonder the profile of the kids who were accepted since these waitlisted posted are stellar profiles. I heard the essay is important too.

Academic performance seems to be a less significant metric (above a certain threshold) than other things (athletics aside). If it were, they'd be sending more kids to what are considered elite schools (for academics). And fwiw, the college matriculations list the admissions office puts out is not accurate. Just on numbers alone, more student matriculations are represented than number of kids in the last graduating class.

For everyone waitlisted, I hope your son ends up really happy at whatever school he attends. One school is not the end all be all.
