Maintaining the student pipeline from the Catholic schools is a high priority. Especially since the re-emergence of St John’s as a viable alternative and a competitor. Also, the GZA admissions people learn to trust the formal and informal information they get from these schools on candidates. |

Not everyone who applies from a Catholic school is offered admission. But all parishes seem to have at least one. And some have 4, 5, 6 or even more. There is some “spreading of wealth” amongst the parishes. If at least one boy from each parish attends, it continues to be a viable alternative for boys in the next year’s class. |
